Hello friend, it is time for incest/selfcest fic and I am so excited to see what you will write for me! If you want inspiration beyond this letter I am also [archiveofourown.org profile] kimaracretak, where I have a small but reflective-of-things-I-like set of bookmarks, and kimaracretak on 8tracks if you want #aesthetic musical inspiration.

I've by and large chosen canons I love for their worldbuilding and mytharcs as well as their characters and relationships, and I am easy to please as long as you stay away from my DNWs (both general and canon-specific), so don't feel like you Have to write any of my specific prompts. Don't read anything into relative lengths of sections, I am equally happy to get something for anything in this letter! Some of these prompts are reused from old letters, and if you have written them for me before, rest assured that I loved your fic, I am simply greedy and would like to see every possible take on my favourite scenarios.

I love everything from short introspection bits to long plotty missionfic to sex scenes as ways to explore character/setting/worldbuilding, and I don't need a lot of romance in my ships: sex for power, manipulation, or just between friends who want to have fun is also great. Please no unrequested ships unless specifically allowed for, but feel free to combine any compatible ones from my requested ones.

A Song of Ice and Fire

General: I'm fine with permadeath for Cersei if it's a murder-suicide dying-in-each-other's-arms deal with Jaime. I love the vast worldbuilding of the books, everything from the wild witchy bits up north to the more mundane aspects of King's Landing courtly life, so feel free to lean into either aspect as much as you like!

Fandom-specific DNW: Show canon, valonqar!Tyrion, Cersei dying while Jaime lives/Jaime dying while Cersei lives.

Cersei/Jaime: Best obsessive gilded fucking fools who have not yet learned that when they do not fuck their twin people die: I love them. I love how absolutely obsessed with each other they are, I love that more myself than I am is true both ways even if Jaime is bad at realising it (see again: gilded fools, I think they're smart about a lot of things but also deeply stupid about each other, and it's such a beautiful conflict.) Queen Cersei with Jaime as her prince consort, expanded versions of Cersei's dream of being married to Jaime with Joffrey still alive that slowly become obviously magical/prophetic. Marrying to keep Cersei on the throne, while different factions order each of them to kill the other (which may or may not backfire on those giving the orders). First time together when they're younger, canon-divergence where they kill a bunch of people and run off together, one of them has died and the other has to resurrect them, their reunion post-ADWD. Just - something that leans into their brilliant amoral sameness, whether they get a happy ending or not doesn't matter as long as they're together.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

General: Please refer to Lilith as Lilith (rather than Madam Satan) for fic from her POV/from the POV of people who know she's no longer Mary Wardwell. I like worldbuiling and pre-canon stories, especially stories about Lilith slowly siphoning witches away from Satan, stories where Sabrina (or Zelda, or the Weird Sisters) sign their name over to Lilith directly rather than into the Book of the Beast, and stories about centuries of history and the distinctly inhuman perceptions and desires of witches and demons. There's so many levels of glorious fucked-up obsessive mentorship here along with, you know, the gore and the deification-via-cannibalism and I love all of them. Murder + in-fic resurrection/came back wrong is fine for any of these prompts.

Edward/Zelda: Okay part of me just wants to link this cover of 'Cry, Little Sister' and be done with it but: you know how Zelda reacts to high priests? And how Edward knew he was called to be high priest from age six so there was - literally no time in Zelda's LIFE where she did not know her brother was destined to be high priest? YEAH. That whole - singular obsession, he-is-divine-therefore-I-must-be-too desperation thing, I love it so goddamn much. Apart from that, I would also love worldbuilding-through-marriage here - what do unholy marriages look like, did they keep it secret. I am deeply fond of alternate-universe Edwards showing up (they're magic, go as in-depth into how alt!Edward shows up as you like) - Zelda grappling with her voracious wanting now that he's back and they can try again to reshape the church, what would happen when she meets a version of him that's had sixteen years apart from her to change. It's CANON that Zelda makes a habit of killing and resurrecting her remaining sibling - did she ever kill and resurrect Edward? Did she try to find his body? (Plane crash over the ocean is a really good sign that someone didn't want her to find his body - what were they afraid of?). AUs where they're twins instead of six years apart are great. Something about the day she was my sister / before I was her confessor.

Edward/Zelda/Lilith: So: any of the above + Lilith, honestly. Zelda was very willing to believe that 'Mary Wardwell' was one of Edward's acolytes, and Lilith almost certainly has SOMETHING in her job description about liasing with/keeping track of high priests so - lean in to all the wonderful, terrible things they could do together. Lilith Matchmaking them in order to make them prove their devotion to her, Edward the public, charismatic face of her church while Zelda acts as deeply personal enforcer. Lilith trying to use Edward to reform the church and killing him when he chose a mortal woman instead, is there a reason not Zelda an instrument of resurrection, pinned between him in the earth and Lilith in the sky, battle-proven queen and the usurper chosen priestess and then Edward, the immanent-beloved-atoning shadow over them.

Goblin Market - Christina Rossetti

General: The poem is relatively short and here for easy reference, or if you are feeling unenthused about the request of mine you initially matched on and want to do something different. I love the way the poem plays with obsession and adoration and change and how people are dragged into and out of the weird spaces between life and death. I am also 100% here for an IN SPACE AU for this poem, so if you too would like a goblin market IN SPACE feel free to run with that! I have some freeforms in last year's Darkest Night letter that are fair game, including the setting-change AU ones. I am fine with permadeath of any of the requested characters here.

Lizzie/Laura: The image of Lizzie standing fiery and unmoving amidst a sea of goblins was hashtag-formative, and I'm obsessed with that immense, frankly-bordering-on-stupid strength drawn from loving another person so much you nearly cease to exist. Lean into the horror of such an obsessive clever devotion and break my heart, please. I always found it fascinating that the deeper Laura sunk into her goblin-fruit stupor the less-and-more she seemed to know - not quite a mythical fruit of knowledge (in fact she loses the ability to see and hear the goblins in the regular world) yet she also quite clearly fades into another world at the same time. What does she find there, in the shadow-world? If Lizzie's obsessive devotion is to her sister Laura's is to something else entirely (knowledge? movement? sensations?) - what impact does that have on their relationship?

Jeanie/Lizzie/Laura: I'm totally happy to get a Lizzie/Laura + Lizzie-or-Laura/Jeanie V-shaped OT3 or a triad, whichever you feel is best for your story. I am weak for Jeanie-come-back-wrong fic: vampire, ghost, goblin-girl, whatever - I love the idea that the grass doesn't grow on her grave because she's not there to help it grow. I am also intrigued by the kill-you-to-love-you elements of the poem - perhaps the sisters killed Jeanie together for some reason? That thing in the Silmarillion where Luthien steals Thuringwethil's skin and wears it as a cape? That for any of the girls. Body horror - one or two or three of them slowly turning into goblin-fruit trees. Jeanie coming back as the owner of a goblin-fruit stall. The three of them in a Sith AU ft Force ghosts? The three of them as sentient evil spaceships in love. Something that plays with the strength of obsession and the horror of knowledge. Letters the sisters write to dead!Jeanie, and the ghost!Jeanie that ends up literally rising from the pages.

Lord of the Rings - J. R. R. Tolkien

General: I love the lush expansiveness of Tolkien's work, the history and the care and the sheer amount of space characters are allowed to take up and that we are able to fill in. My favourite bits are the horror and the weird fey things, but moments of levity and happy couples dealing with supernatural things (happy couples murdering other things :D) are also excellent!

Arwen/Luthien: Dream sex, Luthien-chooses-immortality AUs, angsty time loops/time travel.

Secret History - Donna Tartt

General: I have a slight preference for pre-canon or during-canon fic, but if you want to write post-canon, go for it! I like the ridiculousness of the group like ... re-creating Victoriana boarding school tropes at a 1980s university, and really love fics that delve into the sort of person one has to be to cultivate that sense of deliberate earnest pretentiousness. I like fics about the mundane academic and the weird mythology equally, so lean into whichever you prefer. Feel free to include the rest of the group and Julian, but I'd prefer no OT3s for the twins this time.

Camilla Macaulay/Charles Macaulay: Co-dependent murdertwins with bonus weird mythology shit: my favourite. Academic nerdery, first times, rituals, the things you do to keep the person closest to you - the person who almost could be you - close when secrets get too intense.

Star Trek: Deep Space 9

General: I prefer fics that don't make such a strong connection between mirrorverse sexualities and evil like the show did. I love, love, love canon-divergent AUs for DS9, especially where Bajor discovers the wormhole (and its possibilities for inter-universe travel earlier). Whether that's Kira's 'The Federation will be gone in a week and so will you' prediction coming true, or maybe Bajor has known about the mirrorverse for forever and have been getting secret help against the Cardassians from various mirrorverse factions or something else entirely, have fun with the what-ifs! I've read most of the season 8 novels, including the mirrorverse ones, and I'm overall lukewarm on them - feel free to use/ignore relevant bits as you want. I'm also kinda :/ at mirror versions of characters being killed off so frequently, it closes so many interesting storylines, so feel free to ignore any of those deaths.

Fandom-specific DNW: Prime or Mirror!Bashir, Prime!Dukat, post-series fic where prime!Bajor has joined the Federation/Kira has joined Starfleet for real (fic set when she's temporarily commissioned during s7 is okay).

Kira Nerys/Mirror Kira Nerys: The Intendant's obsession with Kira was ridiculously formative to me, and I'd love something that plays with how she isn't quite sure she and prime!Kira are different. I love how they both relate so deeply to 'their' Bajors and would love to see something exploring that (especially if the prime + mirror versions of Winn and Opaka get involved, either as matchmakers for the sake of cross-planar Bajoran unity or as relationship obstacles). I'd be super interested in the two of them switching places - I really hate the TOS line about how 'evil can't pretend to be good', the Intendant is literally alive because of how well she pretends to be other peoples' definitions of 'good' ... I think she'd do a better job of fooling some of the prime!crew. Something about their relationship through the lens of I made you queen and you forgave me ('The Waves Have Come', Chelsea Wolfe) or imperfect feelings, futile grief ('Illusive Consensus', Epica).

Kira Nerys/Iliana Ghemor: So how about that version of 'Second Skin' where Bashir tells Kira he has no idea whether she's Kira or Iliana! Or how Iliana becomes so certain she's Kira Nerys that she has to murder everyone else with that name! Everything about reaching out across the divide of war to find your literal self on the other side, and what it means to be and be with a person who's that particular sort of you-but-not. Missionfic would be especially great for them, but angsty introspective sex is also fantastic.

Winn Adami/Mirror Winn Adami: This can be Mirror!Winn from the novels, or your own interpretation of her - I remain bitter about the ending the show gave her, and think this ship would be a fantastic way to explore the intersection between her narcissim and her love for Bajor.

Star Wars Sequel Trilogy

General: Sith/Jedi AUs are great in any combination - I like the angst of the twins trying to reach each other across the light/dark divide, but terrifyingly competent murdertwins united on one side of the battle is also excellent. I have a slightly easier time seeing Sith!Amilyn than Jedi!Amilyn but I will read either with equal delight. Force-sensitive Amilyn is amazing always, but just vaguely-witchy Amilyn is also great. AUs with Dark Empress/Sith Lord Padmé at Palpatine's right hand instead of Anakin, or where she lives to found the Rebllion (and exploring what that means for the twins) are always gleefully accepted. I ship Rey/Kylo and Finn/Rose and am happy to see them as background relationships in compatible requests. I'm thoroughly indifferent to Han/Leia so feel free to presume it never happened/open marriage/amicable divorce/Han's death as is convenient.

Fandom-specific DNW: Ben being Luke & Leia's child, Rey being related to any pre-existing characters other than possibly Palpatine, references to/acknowledgement of Amilyn's death.

Leia/Luke: Force-bonded twins with incredible amounts of angst and lowkey betrayal, yes pls. I'm fond of AUs where they're raised together (by Vader, Sith!Padmé, Rebellion!Padmé, Bail-and-Breha, someone else), I'm also fond of them trying to reach each other across the light/dark divide. Dreamsharing before they meet in person, dealing with politics during the interwar years, exploring new planets during the Rebellion/Resistance years. I love Vampire/Changeling AUs (True Fae princess Leia capturing a changeling before she realises he's her brother and how they move on from there, or one vampire sibling turning the other to keep them from death). Identiy issues arising from being Force-bonded (see: more myself than I am), co-dependency and other assorted the-Force-is-an-eldritch-horror stories.

Amilyn/Leia/Luke: I nominated them under Sequel Trilogy because that's the installment all three of them are in, but I would be equally happy to get something set in the Rebellion or inter-war years. I lowkey headcanon Amilyn as a Rebellion fighter pilot but anywhere you want to fit her into the Rebellion is good! Maybe she and Leia were already a thing when they meet Luke, and then between Luke and Leia's Force connection and Amilyn's interest in him via Gatalenta's Jedi stories, all three of them getting together is just the only thing that makes sense. The dubconny potential of Amilyn and Leia's 'happiness is our moral imperative' if they capture Rebellion!Luke. For ST-era things, Leia and Amilyn sharing Force-skype visions of Luke, slice-of-life during the years of the New Republic, Leia or Amilyn finds Ahch-To way earlier and they go retrieve Luke (I feel like Amilyn's astrology knowledge would be really useful here), hurt/comfort post-Crait with Force ghost!Luke (or Force projection, if you want to pretend the one in TLJ didn't kill him).

Leia/Luke/Rey: I tend to see this as a V-shaped trio with Leia in the centre, but if your muse takes you to a triangle-shaped triad that's fine too. I'm fine with force ghost!Luke if you're setting something post-TLJ. On the plot side, I'm fond of AUs where Leia goes to Ahch-To with Rey, and I'm also fond of Jedi!Leia and Sith!Leia AUs (Sith!Leia and Jedi!Luke fighting over who gets to claim Rey as their apprentice? Leia-was-always-the-Jedi AUs?). Imperial!Rey is sent to negotiate with twins who are leaders of the New Republic. I love Dathomir and its associated lore (...nightsister!Rey AU?) so if you work that in somehow I'd love you forever.

The Magnus Archives

General: I love horror canons and eldritch things and unconventional formatting and pretty much everything about this story! I read rather than listen and am only up to 115 where the official transcripts end so I'd prefer something set before then. Permanent death for Sasha is totally fine here.

Sasha James/Not Sasha James: I love! The Not-Them! Things that steal your face to wear as a party gown and either loves you too much or don't-care about you too much are such excellent monsters! So: weird stuff about Sasha and the Not-Thing that's taken her self! What exactly does being replaced by the Not-Them entail? Something about consumption, formation from the building blocks of the paper + digital detritus that makes up a life. Sasha fighting for her body before the initial possession/transformation, fighting for her body back in a came back wrong scenario. What it means to be skin and memories and not you, or to stare into a face hardly anyone believes is you and see your exact self but be unable to believe in it. Gore, angst, weird outside persepctives from the other creatures floating around.

Under the Pendulum Sun - Jeanette Ng

General: Oh hey this weird book about fucked-up missionary siblings in clockwork Fairyland snuck into my life and ruined me and I would love to be further ruined by any fic you write! I really, really loved the Changeling!Cathy faux-reveal and was a bit put out by its last-chapter reversal (all books can do with more weird changelings, lbr), so any Changeling!Cathy fic - or fic where she's human but grappling with the fact that she enjoyed elements of the time when she thought she was a soulless creature - is always adored. Canon-compliant deathfic for Ariel is fine - especially if it leads to Mab further manipulating/fucking with Cathy, and Cathy continuing to spiral about her identity, but I am also thrilled by any AU you come up with where she survives or is brought back.

Cathy/Laon: Ah, yes, deeply co-dependent world-shaping/world-breaking twins with infinite capacity for guilt and also academic study: let it not be said that I do not have a type, or that these two did not wreck me. Honestly I haven't requested them before because I was so happy with what canon gave me, so: post-canon adventures? Or, perhaps, role reversal, with ambiguous Changeling!Laon - he and Cathy are roughly equal in their capacity for love, but he is so much worse at dealing with the strange, that would be something delightful to drop on his head.

Ariel/Cathy/Laon: I spent a good portion of the beginning of the book when Cathy was thinking about any possible Laon/Ariel relationship wondering if I was supposed to think she was jealous of Laon or Ariel and you know what - I still think it's probable that it was both. Something about them together during the Hunt, Ariel helping the twins with their translations. Something goes wrong during the Hunt, and Cathy kills Laon or Ariel kills Cathy, and how the remaning two cope with the loss + bring the third back Fae twin sex magic accidentally or on purpose resurrects Ariel, perhaps under Mab's direction. Ariel and Changeling!Cathy make a Changeling!Laon so the twins can once again be made of the same stuff.

Cathy/Laon/Mab: Post-canon adventures in Pivot or Elphane, Mab being her glorious, terrible self at them and the twins acquiescing not only because of how they feel for each other but because of their curiosity about her. Anything that leans into the manipulative and the strange and the whole bargaining-with-a-Faerie-queen-for-my-lover's-life trope. Tam Lin, except it's Cathy in all her maybe-Changeling-maybe-not who's Mab's prize, and Laon overly-obsessed with salvation. The whole - welcome/not welcome thing of Mab trying to force Laon to kill and Cathy chosing to kill ostensibly for Laon but also, inescapably, not not for Mab.

Kasdaye/Penemue: GODS I love these ridiculous fey twins and I just want to spend infinitely more time with them! All the Arcadian worldbuilding, all the creepy fortune-telling. How they came to be with Mab's court, previous masquerades they've attended.
