Hello friend, it is time for Valentine's Day fic and my requests are full of spies and assassins and secret agents and ladies who can't decide whether they want to fuck or kill each other. I am so excited to see what you will write for me! kimaracretak, where I have a small but reflective-of-things-I-like set of bookmarks, and kimaracretak on 8tracks if you want #aesthetic musical inspiration.
I love all these canons for the worldbuilding and mytharcs as well as their characters and relationships, and I am easy to please as long as you stay away from my DNWs (both general and canon-specific), so don't feel like you Have to write any of my specific prompts. Don't read anything into relative lengths of sections, I am equally happy to get something for anything in this letter! Some of these prompts are reused from old letters, and if you have written them for me before, rest assured that I loved your fic, I am simply greedy and would like to see every possible take on my favourite scenarios. A lot of my prompts are very horror-slanted, but if your muse is inclined to things less murderous, feel free! That being said, I'm extremely not into plotless/conflictless fluff or 'soft' takes on these characters/canons, and would prefer you avoid them.
I love everything from short introspection bits to long plotty missionfic to sex scenes as ways to explore character/setting/worldbuilding, and I don't need a lot of romance in my ships: sex for power, manipulation, or just between friends who want to have fun is also great. Please no unrequested ships unless specifically allowed for, but feel free to combine any compatible ones from my requested ones.

General: I only vaguely keep up with the audio dramas, but feel free to incorporate however much of that canon as you want. Post-Mondas fix-its for Missy that don't involve her regenerating are loved, but pre-Mondas fic is equally great. I like Missy using her telepathy and the sweeping glorious over-the-top-ness that characterises a lot of the show. I like moral greyness and (if the fic is Earth-set at any point) fic set in Scotland and Wales rather than England (Brexit-less Earth, please). I am questionably able to keep up with the new season as it airs and usually only about halfway spoiled, so I'd prefer nothing that relies too much on this season's canon.
Missy/Thirteen: Gods their entire ... chase you across the universe and all of time because I don't know how to live without you thing is SO MUCH, they're obsessed, I'm obsessed, Missy killed herself for the Doctor and no I have never recovered, let them stand together somewhere, let her tell Thirteen what she did. Last season's Thirteen was manic in the best way, impulsive and stubbornly Not Looking At so much of her life, and I want to see that intersect with the pure chaos-for-chaos'-sake that is Missy. Let them continue to have their version of forever, please - I never tire of reading ways in which Missy survives the Mondasian colony ship. Or, yknow, Michelle and Jodie are both ridiculously hot, just write me porn. I like weird time shenanigans and love in war and reckoning with your former selves and telepathic/honour bondage.
General: My dragonborn is a female Dunmer named Jessamine, but if you want to involve the dragonborn for plot reasons, don't feel beholden to that. I side with the Imperials in-game mostly to get the civil war quests out of my journal, but as long as Idgrod stays in Morthal I don't care who's winning the war in fic. I don't mind background Astrid/Arnbjorn if we matched on Astrid & Babette, but if you're writing Maven/Astrid I'd prefer you just pretend they're not married. I have no preference on who's Jarl in Riften for Maven fics. I love the potential for the horror of loss here - Skyrim as a country feels like it should feel emptier than it does, and I'd love something that leans into like - there should be more abandoned houses. There should be an entire village between Morthal and Solitude. Tell me ghost stories, and about messy love among the ruins.
Fandom-specific DNW: Stormcloak-controlled Morthal, Ulfric, mention of Arnbjorn in Astrid/Maven fic.
Astrid & Babette: On a mission together. Babette's recruitment, or her support for Astrid's rise to leadership. 'Astrid is my matron now'. Sharing their devotion to Mephala. Babette giving history/alchemy lessons to Astrid. AU where they both survive the destruction of the sanctuary and how they put their lives back together.
Astrid/Maven Black-Briar: Theyyyyyyy wreck me, gods. Maven going through the mechanics of rule because it is something unchanging, something that she knows, and the routine is almost enough to drown the constant refrain of the world is changed the world is fallen (but this has not, and I am not, and she will not acknowledge the lie), and meanwhile there's Astrid free-falling from her patron, staring to the sky with eyes blurred with the ashes of all the times the Brotherhood and burned and risen and burned again, knowing that it is time for fire now if she is to have any chance at keeping her family safe because the world is changed the world is fallen (but the fire is taken from her, and her family is not safe). They both are firm believers in MY WAY NOW for entirely different reasons nonetheless both grounded in necessity Maven is Astrid's contact in the Thieves' Guild, Maven offers the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary in Riften. The differences between saying 'mine' and saying 'home'. How their relationship shapes and is shaped by their relationships with Nocturnal and Mephala respectively. I'm Morag Tong trash and Astrid brings the Brotherhood so much closer to them than they've been in ages and it goes so well with how Maven approaches the Thieves' Guild. Any of the songs on this fanmix as prompts.
Elisif & Idgrod: Perhaps Elisif retreats to Morthal for some peace post-war, perhaps a younger Elisif goes to her with questions. I believe Idgrod's visions are real, and would love if she and Elisif got to have a conversation about religion and mysticism. Epistolary fic would be especially lovely for them, letters back and forth between Solitude and Morthal, or a sort of future in-universe book of their collected letters.
Elisif/Rikke: The Civil War quest would immediately become Something I Love if it were Rikke, reluctantly taking up arms against Jarl Elisif whom she loves, leading the Stormcloaks instead of Ulfric so - that AU! Their love for each other not being enough to solve the problem of do we die fighting the Empire or do we die smothered by it, but a universe where they get to have that conversation, instead of Tullius and Ulfric. Pre-canon time together, or post-canon rebuilding together.
Karliah & Nocturnal: I'd love something about Karliah balancing her duties to Nocturnal with her feelings about the Guild - how she joined the Nightingales, or Noc helping her deal with Mercer's betrayal? Feel free to blur the lines between & and /, I don't mind either for this.
Maven Black-Briar & Nocturnal: It drives me mildly bonkers that Maven theoretically runs the Thieves' Guild and yet we have basically no information on what she thinks of her guild's patron. Nocturnal who loves those who make their own luck, Maven who's made herself an entire city in an act of intentional or unintentional worship - I want to know everything about what they think of each other. I have a fondness for Noc as the exasperated over-coffee'd Daedric bookkeeper and I think she'd see a lot of herself in Maven - possibly more than Maven wants her to see. Feel free to blur the lines between & and /, I don't mind either for this.
Maven Black-Briar/Laila Law-Giver: You can never go wrong with hatesex for them tbh. For plotty fic: running cons against each other, sniping about who is more deserving of Riften, Laila trying to single-handedly reclaim Riften from Maven during the civil war quest.
General: 2019 was the year this ridiculous gacha game stole my heart with a story and I'm SO happy it did. I've never played any of the other Fire Emblem games, but I've spoiled myself for my requested characters as thoroughly as possible (because: I love them) so don't worry too much about lore stuff! I prefer female player characters if they're ever relevant to the story.
Eyvel/Mareeta: They stole my whole entire heart during the last Forging Bonds event. Possession by an evil sword? Pirates and amnesia? Mentor/student relationships melded with mother/daughter ones where they're forced to try to kill each other? GIMME. More possession, or fraught sex, or something after Eyvel's memories come back or Mareeta's grown up, trying to navigate new forms of their relationship.
Felicia/Peri: Another one for the 'attempted murder made me ship it', ngl - listen, I am an extremely simple creature. Anything about them sparring together, in that sort of ... we're deliberately using this to avoid looking at Other Feelings and we're okay with that deal.
Loki/Veronica: Honestly, I don't know what to do with this besides gesture at Loki's whole 'I helped you in the end, didn't I? Please forgive me! Or kill me.' thing and just go MORE OF THAT. Plots and schemes and distrust and what it means to be the object of pure chaos' affection.
General: Listen. This movie is perfect and I fucking love it. In fact, I have written an entire post about why you should love it too, if 'identity-porn filled wuxia film starring Michelle Yeoh' is not enough to have you hooked immediately. I prefer pre-identity change Zeng Jing to be referred to as Xi Yu rather then Drizzle but I'm totally fine with either Chinese or English names for all other characters. Background Ah-Sheng/Jing or Lei Bin/his canon wife is fine.
Lei Bin & Lian Sheng & Zeng Jing Assassin besties! I just want more of them hanging out together. Are they murdering other ministers? Are they recruiting someone? Are they spending the entire fic doing dumb magic tricks and telling jokes around a campfire? Are they perfecting their kung fu technique with each other? Are Lian Sheng and and Zeng Jing trying to matchmake Lei Bin and his wife? YES. They have done any/all of these things and I want any/all of it. More seriously, I'm interested in how all three of them have different reasons for being in the Dark Stone and differing levels of committment to it, and how that affects their relationship at key turning points, e.g. right after Zeng Jing leaves with the remains.
Ye Zhanqing/Zeng Jing: There is no reason this film needed to go so hard on the 'lady assassins too obsessed with other lady assassins they are trying to kill' theme, except for the fact that it must love me specifically. But like ... they're so many of my favourite tihngs I hardly know where to start with what I want. Tell me how Ye Zhanqing survives being buried under the bridge, because I refuse to believe that killed her - does she crawl out herself, does Zeng Jing save her? Anything about how Zhanqing might have grown up hearing stories about Xi Yu and how that obsession developed. AU where Zhanqing takes searching for Xi Yu into her own hands earlier, and takes Ah-Sheng's place in the story. Swordfights lead to sex. Just, anything about how they can't keep their eyes/hands/thoughts off each other.
General: I don't know what good I did to the universe to get this show in return but wow is this blood-soaked grimly funny chase across London and Russia and half of Europe the show of my dreams. I love how bright Villanelle is in everything she does, I love her twisted undeniable logic and her unstoppable yearning. I tend to think of some level of Villanelle/Eve as basically canon, and though I'm leaving it off my request list in favour of my rarer Villanelle pairs, I don't think it's entirely avoidable in fics that aren't pre-canon, and I'm totally here for that sort of conflict between Villanelle's multiple desires pulling her towards conflicting (or perhaps ultimately nonconflicting?) goals. Canon-compliant deathfic for Nadia or Anna is okay, but I am also super into 'character survives and nothing is better' AUs. Explicit Remain-won AUs not necessary as long as I can pretend Remain won and there's no Brexit.
Villanelle/Nadia: MURDEROUS EXES WHO ALSO WANT TO MURDER EACH OTHER, what a good trope. Nadia brings out the sweet side of Villanelle's poison in a weird way - their scenes together were the only times I started to question if Villanelle ever did see a life for herself outside of the assassin gig. Because, lbr: she is far too invested in performing for Eve to give up killing for Eve, and, genuine desire for normal life or not, Nadia opens up a new possibility for desire that Villanelle is delighted by - and fucking hates. Like, she doesn't know what to do with a want that conflicts with her sense of self but she also doesn't know how to say no to desire, yknow? So of course she kills Nadia but of course she makes it sweet, and of course she asks how Nadia wants to go, and of course she indulges that. All of which is to say: fuck me up, dear author. Tell me about their meetings, their missions, their murder attempts, Nadia's final seconds of life. Or go AU, tell me about their captivity together in Arcadia and how Villanelle sold her out to the True Fae for a way through the Hedge and Nadia has found her own way back and is seeking REVENGE. Or make them vampires. I am never gonna say no to my faves being made vampires.
Villanelle/Anna: Messy obsessive mentor/student problems are MY THING and I'm obsessed with all of this - Anna's guilt, Oksana's growing estrangement from what should be as she falls deeper and deeper into what she wants. Pre-canon fic is great - first times, seduction attempts, inappropriate teasing and attempting to play house together, the aftermath of Oksana killing Max (re: my sex-involving-under-16s DNW, you can just not mention her age). Or AU post-s1 where Anna either survives or doesn't attempt suicide at all. Anything using Jordan Reyne's 'The Narcissus' as a prompt. Feel free to OT3 them with Eve, or have Anna/Eve as an also-existing ship.
General: I know it's been five years since it ended but this is still the spy show of my heart and I love all these sad glamorous dubiously-moral assassins. Before Amanda's backstory reveal I spent some time headcanoning her as a Russian agent - feel free to run with that background if it speaks more to you than her canon one! I am fine with background Nikita/Owen, Nikita/Alex, Amanda/Alex, or Nikita/Ryan, but DNW Nikita/Michael.
Nikita/Amanda: POST-CANON FIC. I don't love season 4, but I've made my peace with most of it with the exception of ... we watched Nikita obsess over Amanda for four seasons and then we were meant to ... believe she locked Amanda in a cell and ignored her forever? I don't buy it, and I want to see all of their visits, all of the manipulation-into-goodness that Nikita is so horrifically amazing at, all of the bad-idea sex with the weight of all their history. Alternatively, all of Nikita's early days with Division, the dressing up and the missions and the undercover-as-a-couple and the whole idea of Amanda trying to teach Nikita how to human. They love each other so much! They're so determined to create and re-create each other and they're both so bad at pretending the other isn't succeeding. The whole bit in 2x18 with 'I broke your heart? You broke mine.' is like. One of my top 5 scenes in television ever. I love them. I love how much they hate each other and how bad they are at hating each other and I love how much they want. Feel free to OT3 them (V or triad) with Alex.
Nikita/Cassandra: I love spies and double-triple identities and I love these two! Perhaps Nikita finding Cassandra years in the future, or missing scenes. Epistolary fic as they keep in touch throughout the years. AU where it was Nikita romancing Cassandra in Belarus. Sparring leads to sex.
Carla/Amanda: Anything and everything about the early days of Division! The power struggles, the missions they keep (or try to keep) secret from each other, fighting over specific recruits, fighting over Nikita. Running into each other over the years, letters written over the years, sabotaging each other's missions, angsty please-come-join-me sex that neither will admit is either angsty or about getting the other woman to join them.
Amanda/Kathleen: They'd be glorious in any fic you want to write, I think! So much excellent tension, and, yknow, the whole kidnapping at attempted murder thing :D Amanda visiting Kathleen while she's in captivity, any previous history they might have had.
Amanda/Madeline: How much do I love the whole Senator-and-her-unruly-assassin thing they have going on I love it SO MUCH. I am always and forever down for AUs where Sean dies in that car bomb instead of Madeline. I love early days of Division fic, personal missions/tasks Madeline gives Amanda, and Madeline just. Showing up in Division after Amanda thinks she's dead to give orders directly and the epic power struggle that would kick off (Amanda successfully pretending to 99% of the agents that was absolutely her plan while plotting to kill Madeline :3)
General: I like missionfic/casefic, especially for all the angst it gives post-Fall fic/preemptive angst it gives pre-Fall fics (I am entirely up to date on the canon), but they're not a requirement. For Amélie ships, I have no preference if fic is set when she's Amélie or Widowmaker or both, and I also don't have a preference for never-married-to-Gerard!AUs vs pining/infidelity/open marriage so - whatever works for your fic! If Mercy's relevant to your fic, I am happy to see dark!Mercy as well as Overwatch!Mercy. Leaning into the body horror aspects around Ana's missing eye encouraged (I have a special love for flowers growing in the empty eye socket, because, well, I'm me) but not required. Any AU based off any skins for the requested characters (e.g. witch!Mercy, pirate!Ana, comtesse!Amélie) is welcome even if I haven't specified the general version of that AU in my likes. If you want to address the age gaps here, I really love how comfortable Ana is in her own skin, with her own age (even/especially her missing eye) and how that contrasts with her mixed feelings about what she's done, so anything that highlights that would be lovely.
Ana/Amélie:Not quite colleague-friend-lovers who can't quite kill each other, the best of the best who keep chasing after each other because there shouldn't be two of them but there are and an undeniable part of them loves it, aka the reason I fell into this game and this canon in the first place. I love the angst of their situationally-enforced separation and how they're women who draw lines between killing and leaving to die but can't quite examine the difference because that comes to close to their feelings. The problem of 'I should kill you but I can't hurt you because you have already hurt too much because of me' gives me life. Undercover as married, or married post-Fall because Ana is guilty and her eye is gone and Amelie is alone and Gerard's and nothing's right but maybe they can make it better, and at least someone else is close by. I love post-Fall fics - the angst, the guilt, the Shrike, the chase, the meeting across new post-Recall battlefields - but lighter pre-Fall missionfic, training, quiet moments where they almost forget that war is coming is also great!
Ana/Ashe: Vigilante protector meets bored criminal gang leader and ... I feel like at least one (1) literal explosion occurs in addition to excellent sex. I would love undercover-as-a-couple fic for them, or Ana infiltrating the Deadlock Game for Reasons (those Reasons are probably 'Gabe wouldn't do it and I have nothing else to do with my time'). Anonymous/semi-anonymous sex - everyone knows who Captain Ana Amari is, but Ana has no idea who Ashe is until it's far too late to back out. AU Ashe follows McCree to Overwatch and her relationship with Ana develops from there. Ashe's kill-witness line is 'you should join my crew' - in what scenario (post-Fall?) might she tell Ana that? What does their life together look like if Ana accepts?
Ana/Hana: Ana/Hana: Oh, this pairing could be just about anything - there is a strong possibility for shenanigans given their 'youth is wasted on the young' / 'come on Ana, I bet you did all sorts of crazy stuff when you were my age' exchange. Or you could do the exact opposite and lean into the angst of Ana watching her lover having to fight another war because of Overwatch's old failures. Or just give these two tired soldiers time to relax and enjoy each other. Or something completely else! There's the potential for so much emotional mentor/protege stuff here, and I want all of it.
Ana/Mercy: Rez is already lovingly bonkers video-game logic, so why not make it even more excellently eldritch: rez either requires or is equivalent to marriage, and Ana and Mercy find that out the hard way. Ana has a complicated relationship with death and Mercy has weird messy feelings about being devoted to Ana but also having the power to kill and bring her back, so I am super into edgeplay-to-the-edge-of-death with them - maybe it goes too far, resurrection and guilt and the somewhat-ambiguous sense of betrayal that seems to hang over them. Entirely magical witch!Mercy AUs are also great (I lived in that skin before All-Stars 2019 don't @ me it's perfect). But I also love softer h/c fics, and the just sort of - weary bonding that comes from having seen So Much Shit on the frontlines, realising the depth of their feelings during a mission and just being - hey, this really is an important person in my life, not just an important colleague. Bastet AU where Ana and Jack do go see Mercy, or one where Ana and Mercy started a relationship while Ana was the Shrike (up to you whether Mercy knew Ana's identity, in that case!). Something that explores how Ana went from 'not seeing Angela, nope' in Bastet to 'actually I could live in Angela's kitchen now' in Valkyrie. (And speaking of Valkyrie - the first time Angela's ever thought of Angela as mortal? Ana being statuesque and slightly tempered by a new softness? That's v gay, Angela.)
Ana/Moira: Oh gods, they're so full of complicated angst, and so philosophically opposed to one another, but they fought sorta-together and that matters post-Fall (and imagine the extra angst when Ana's Overwatch colleagues find out who she shared the secret of her survival with!). I'd love to see stories of their time together pre-Fall too, though - trying to find common ground, knowing what's in between them, sleeping together anyway. If you want to go for porn - Ana's sleep darts getting put to creative sex-based use, sex as a way to try to bring the other around to one's side, post-fall but pre-recall 'anonymous' sex but only one knows the other's true identity. Battle adrenaline leading to sex (whether they're on the same/opposite sides). Ana's guilt over their secret relationship juxtaposed with Moira's total lack of care. Someone (preferably Amélie but I'm not picky as long as it's another female character) catches them. Moira comes back to Overwatch (or Ana somehow ends up with Talon) and they pledge their allegiance not to the organisation but to the other woman specifically. The Moira standing next to me in a spawn room once replied to Ana's idle 'if we stick together we will achieve the objective' with 'well THAT's an interesting hypothesis' and I would love to see something built around that exchange. Experiements with Moira's lifedrain/heal - Moira's callout when using life drain is 'tell me how this feels' and Ana has a Complicated(tm) relationship with death, and I want all the fucked-up ways in which they deal with (or, yknow, don't deal) with that.
Ana/Sombra: Sombra's not loyal to Talon for reasons beyond self-preservation, and I'd love to see Ana trying to exploit that somehow. 5+1 times they didn't mean to end up in bed together? Trying to seduce the other away from their respective organisations? Biotic/cybernetic engineering nerdery? One or both is a vampire.
Ana/Symmetra: I don't have super specific prompts for them, tbh. Something with hard-light building, Ana helping Symmetra work through her feelings about Vishkar.
Sombra/D.Va: Women who were forced to grow up far too fast with excellent tech/mechanic skills, yes please! I don't really have specific prompts for them, write what you like! I like this ship as either a 'trying to help each other recover and realising too late that they're doing the opposite' sort of thing or as a genuine Same Trauma bonding.
General: I am not usually one for zombie stories but this show was absolutely irresistible (...Anjali Bhimani in that dress was admittedly irresistible first, but I fell in love with the show too). I love the setting-as-character, the magic, the DREAMS, the way that the characters run up against each others' sharp edges and the beautiful freedom for distrust and not being friends that the limited run allowed. I'm here for the supernatural, both the bits we see and any extra bits you want to add (I have a profound soft spot for werewolf!Arabella). Canon-style undead are fine and do not hit my zombies DNW. I'm happy for AUs where Miriam never had a husband/he was a terrible one who she killed and escaped from like we were all sort of playing with post-ep 3.
Fandom-specific DNW: Fix-it for Clay's death (canon divergence pre-episode 4 is fine, but I DNW him coming back as anything other than a Cynthia-style zombie, or for his death to not happen once the Dealer takes away Fogg's feelings), 'the Undeadwood five are all best friends/found family who uncomplicatedly live together'-style stories.
Arabella/Miriam: I love the ways in which they care for each other and support each other and are just generally incredibly competent at dealing with Weird Shit. Occult things, h/c smut, Miriam supporting Arabella as she becomes Deadwood's physician, dreamsharing (smutty dreamsharing :3), missionfic-type stories.
Arabella & Cynthia: Pre-canon would be great! How did Arabella start to get interested in the occult, what were their last days together like, Cynthia visiting her sister in dreams after her second death, growing up as werewolves together, some AU where one of them was a changeling?
Joanie/Miriam: I know, I know, rarepair in an already rare canon, but listen: I love them. I love Joanie's strength, and Miriam's determination, and would love to see more of them together. Something post-canon, Joanie helping Miriam and Arabella and the Reverend out with the continuing undead problem. Something pre-canon, how they met. Porn, if you like - Joanie enjoying sleeping with someone who's a friend and not paying her, Miriam working through her feelings about no longer having her husband.
General: This weird book about fucked-up missionary siblings in clockwork Fairyland snuck into my life and ruined me and I would love to be further ruined by any fic you write! I really, really loved the Changeling!Cathy faux-reveal and was a bit put out by its last-chapter reversal (all books can do with more weird changelings, lbr), so any Changeling!Cathy fic - or fic where she's human but grappling with the fact that she enjoyed elements of the time when she thought she was a soulless creature - is always adored. Canon-compliant deathfic for Ariel is fine - especially if it leads to Mab further manipulating/fucking with Cathy, and Cathy continuing to spiral about her identity, but I am also thrilled by any AU you come up with where she survives or is brought back. Feel free to combine any of these requests to make an OT3. Basically, just lean into the WEIRD and I will be super happy!
Ariel/Cathy: I would love some of Ariel's POV on the novel's events - she has a sort of resignation to liminality about her that I find fascinating. What if she had been given more time to convince Cathy she was a Changeling too? What if she tried to sell Cathy to Mab for Laon's safety (or, perhaps, Cathy tries it with her). Resurrection attempts? Ill-advised wanderings into the depths of Arcadia? We see glimpses of what Changelings think about Cathy and Laon's theology, but what kind of myths and religions of their own have they developed that Ariel and Cathy might stumble into in this land where everything's just a bit too real? Also intrigued by the possibility of them meeting in the mortal world sometime before Cathy travels to Arcadia - what would that meeting look like, what kind of traps might Ariel try to set (at Mab's encouraging?), would Cathy notice something off about her? Ariel and Cathy dressing each other up the morning before the Hunt. Murder is the highest form of aesthetic appreciation in Arcadia, so after the Hunt it falls upon Cathy to resurrect and marry Ariel, because they are obviously destined to be with each other. Some kind of time loop, either while they're waiting for Laon to come back or during the Hunt.
Ariel/Mab: How was Ariel summoned back from the mundane world? How did Mab 'lay claim' to her changeling - did she get any pushback form other Faerie lords? Did Ariel ever think about defecting to another court, or is that not allowed by Faerie laws? AU where she did defect to another court, and how that influenced her relationships with both Mab and Catherine. Is necromancy possible in Arcadia? Came back wrong fic would be delightful. Ariel - or whatever's left of her - confronting Mab about the Hunt, before or after it happens.
Ariel/Cathy/Mab: Anything combining the above two! Mab's pet Ariel seducing Cathy for her? Ariel and Mab working together to show Cathy what it means to be a Changeling/Fae in general? POLITICKING? Vampires?
Cathy/Kasdaye: I mean - "Have you not wanted to speak to me all your life?" makes me want pre-Arcadia Cathy dreaming of/dreaming with Kasdaye, but I would also love an AU of the masquerade where Kasdaye does succeed in telling Cathy's fortune, and how everything changes unexpectly from there - would Cathy still kill Ariel, knowing Kasdaye had already seen her do so? Kasdaye trying to take over Ariel's position as Cathy's guide in Arcadia after the Hunt, or time that they spend post-canon together in Pivot. What are Kasdaye's fae friends like, what dream cults might she be a part of, what happens if she brings Cathy deeper into her world? Kasdaye's a super neat temptress-and-oracle fusion that gets right at all the things Cathy's upbringing has taught her to fear, but in a way that's canonically more appealing than Mab's presentation of the forbidden, so I'd love something that plays with that.
Cathy/Laon: Ah, yes, deeply co-dependent world-shaping/world-breaking twins with infinite capacity for guilt and also academic study: let it not be said that I do not have a type, or that these two did not wreck me. Honestly I am so happy with what canon gave me, so: post-canon adventures? Or, perhaps, role reversal, with ambiguous Changeling!Laon - he and Cathy are roughly equal in their capacity for love, but he is so much worse at dealing with the strange, that would be something delightful to drop on his head (whether that's Laon was always the Changeling or some combination of Ariel/Cathy/Mab create a Changeling!Laon is totally up to you). Something that leans into their identity issues - they are an absolute disaster at handling the knots of sinner/twin/changeling they tie each other into, and I'm obsessed.
Cathy/Mab: Changeling Cathy! Either one where Mab made her before sending her off into the mortal world, or one where Mab decides to turn her into one at some point during/after the events of the book (look ... we don't know how Changelings are made, it's totally possible). I wasn't entirely sold on the 'Arcadia = literally Hell' conceit of the ending, so maybe something where that was Mab's real lie? Human Cathy becomes one of Mab's courtiers in exchange for Laon's life/freedom. But, look, Cathy killed someone she liked to spite Mab, even if Laon's soul was also playing some part in that decision, I am gonna be super into whatever you write for them! Arcadian adventures and rituals, Cathy-as-servant, Cathy-as-toy, Arcadian politicking ... all excellent. Post-canon time in Pivot or Elphane, Cathy discovering Arcadian myths and legends and sticking her nose in where it doesn't belong. What does Arcadian regional horror look like? Mab fucking around with Cathy's dreams - visiting her, pulling elements of her dreams into reality.
Kasdaye/Penemue: GODS I love these ridiculous fey twins and I just want to spend infinitely more time with them! All the Arcadian worldbuilding, all the creepy fortune-telling. How they came to be with Mab's court, previous masquerades they've attended.
General: Listen I fully expect this to be a fandom of one, but this was #formative to small me's interests in fiction before small me even knew she had tastes in fiction, and I want my first favourite shoulda-been-girlfriends spies to have a good time. If doing something plottier, I like fics that take a more complex look at ACME's morals; if doing something pornier, I have a slight preference for sub!Carmen. I haven't seen any of the shows or played any other games, so please nothing that relies on any other version of Carmen. I'm fond of the Extremely 2001 setting and would prefer you don't update it unless you're doing futurefic.

Carmen/Jules: I was shipping them before I knew what shipping was - Jules' wistful 'Carmen and I took that train once' staring out over the most picturesque mountains possible on a Windows 98 game? I was obsessed. First meetings, missions together, questioning ACME's values, high-tech shenanigans, risky sex in alleyways on missions, 'thank god we survived' sex, Carmen opening up to Jules about her childhood. Epistolary fic/coded messages left for each other. Jules was the one who left ACME AUs. Vampire the Masquerade AU, where all of the thievery comes down to Masquerade and Court politics. Carmen tries to steal [improbable but plausible artefact] and runs into Jules along the way.
I love all these canons for the worldbuilding and mytharcs as well as their characters and relationships, and I am easy to please as long as you stay away from my DNWs (both general and canon-specific), so don't feel like you Have to write any of my specific prompts. Don't read anything into relative lengths of sections, I am equally happy to get something for anything in this letter! I like Missy using her telepathy and the sweeping glorious over-the-top-ness that characterises a lot of the show. I like moral greyness and (if the fic is Earth-set at any point) fic set in Scotland and Wales rather than England (Brexit-less Earth, please). I am questionably able to keep up with the new season as it airs and usually only about halfway spoiled, so I'd prefer nothing that relies too much on this season's canon.
Missy/Thirteen: Gods their entire ... chase you across the universe and all of time because I don't know how to live without you thing is SO MUCH, they're obsessed, I'm obsessed, Missy killed herself for the Doctor and no I have never recovered, let them stand together somewhere, let her tell Thirteen what she did. Last season's Thirteen was manic in the best way, impulsive and stubbornly Not Looking At so much of her life, and I want to see that intersect with the pure chaos-for-chaos'-sake that is Missy. Let them continue to have their version of forever, please - I never tire of reading ways in which Missy survives the Mondasian colony ship. Or, yknow, Michelle and Jodie are both ridiculously hot, just write me porn. I like weird time shenanigans and love in war and reckoning with your former selves and telepathic/honour bondage.
General: My dragonborn is a female Dunmer named Jessamine, but if you want to involve the dragonborn for plot reasons, don't feel beholden to that. I side with the Imperials in-game mostly to get the civil war quests out of my journal, but as long as Idgrod stays in Morthal I don't care who's winning the war in fic. I don't mind background Astrid/Arnbjorn if we matched on Astrid & Babette, but if you're writing Maven/Astrid I'd prefer you just pretend they're not married. I have no preference on who's Jarl in Riften for Maven fics. I love the potential for the horror of loss here - Skyrim as a country feels like it should feel emptier than it does, and I'd love something that leans into like - there should be more abandoned houses. There should be an entire village between Morthal and Solitude. Tell me ghost stories, and about messy love among the ruins.

Astrid/Maven Black-Briar: Theyyyyyyy wreck me, gods. Maven going through the mechanics of rule because it is something unchanging, something that she knows, and the routine is almost enough to drown the constant refrain of the world is changed the world is fallen (but this has not, and I am not, and she will not acknowledge the lie), and meanwhile there's Astrid free-falling from her patron, staring to the sky with eyes blurred with the ashes of all the times the Brotherhood and burned and risen and burned again, knowing that it is time for fire now if she is to have any chance at keeping her family safe because the world is changed the world is fallen (but the fire is taken from her, and her family is not safe). They both are firm believers in MY WAY NOW for entirely different reasons nonetheless both grounded in necessity Maven is Astrid's contact in the Thieves' Guild, Maven offers the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary in Riften. The differences between saying 'mine' and saying 'home'. How their relationship shapes and is shaped by their relationships with Nocturnal and Mephala respectively. I'm Morag Tong trash and Astrid brings the Brotherhood so much closer to them than they've been in ages and it goes so well with how Maven approaches the Thieves' Guild. Any of the songs on this fanmix as prompts.
Elisif & Idgrod: Perhaps Elisif retreats to Morthal for some peace post-war, perhaps a younger Elisif goes to her with questions. I believe Idgrod's visions are real, and would love if she and Elisif got to have a conversation about religion and mysticism. Epistolary fic would be especially lovely for them, letters back and forth between Solitude and Morthal, or a sort of future in-universe book of their collected letters.
Elisif/Rikke: The Civil War quest would immediately become Something I Love if it were Rikke, reluctantly taking up arms against Jarl Elisif whom she loves, leading the Stormcloaks instead of Ulfric so - that AU! Their love for each other not being enough to solve the problem of do we die fighting the Empire or do we die smothered by it, but a universe where they get to have that conversation, instead of Tullius and Ulfric. Pre-canon time together, or post-canon rebuilding together.
Karliah & Nocturnal: I'd love something about Karliah balancing her duties to Nocturnal with her feelings about the Guild - how she joined the Nightingales, or Noc helping her deal with Mercer's betrayal? Feel free to blur the lines between & and /, I don't mind either for this.
Maven Black-Briar & Nocturnal: It drives me mildly bonkers that Maven theoretically runs the Thieves' Guild and yet we have basically no information on what she thinks of her guild's patron. Nocturnal who loves those who make their own luck, Maven who's made herself an entire city in an act of intentional or unintentional worship - I want to know everything about what they think of each other. I have a fondness for Noc as the exasperated over-coffee'd Daedric bookkeeper and I think she'd see a lot of herself in Maven - possibly more than Maven wants her to see. Feel free to blur the lines between & and /, I don't mind either for this.
Maven Black-Briar/Laila Law-Giver: You can never go wrong with hatesex for them tbh. For plotty fic: running cons against each other, sniping about who is more deserving of Riften, Laila trying to single-handedly reclaim Riften from Maven during the civil war quest.
General: 2019 was the year this ridiculous gacha game stole my heart with a story and I'm SO happy it did. I've never played any of the other Fire Emblem games, but I've spoiled myself for my requested characters as thoroughly as possible (because: I love them) so don't worry too much about lore stuff! I prefer female player characters if they're ever relevant to the story.
Eyvel/Mareeta: They stole my whole entire heart during the last Forging Bonds event. Possession by an evil sword? Pirates and amnesia? Mentor/student relationships melded with mother/daughter ones where they're forced to try to kill each other? GIMME. More possession, or fraught sex, or something after Eyvel's memories come back or Mareeta's grown up, trying to navigate new forms of their relationship.
Felicia/Peri: Another one for the 'attempted murder made me ship it', ngl - listen, I am an extremely simple creature. Anything about them sparring together, in that sort of ... we're deliberately using this to avoid looking at Other Feelings and we're okay with that deal.
Loki/Veronica: Honestly, I don't know what to do with this besides gesture at Loki's whole 'I helped you in the end, didn't I? Please forgive me! Or kill me.' thing and just go MORE OF THAT. Plots and schemes and distrust and what it means to be the object of pure chaos' affection.
General: Listen. This movie is perfect and I fucking love it. In fact, I have written an entire post about why you should love it too, if 'identity-porn filled wuxia film starring Michelle Yeoh' is not enough to have you hooked immediately. I prefer pre-identity change Zeng Jing to be referred to as Xi Yu rather then Drizzle but I'm totally fine with either Chinese or English names for all other characters. Background Ah-Sheng/Jing or Lei Bin/his canon wife is fine.
Lei Bin & Lian Sheng & Zeng Jing Assassin besties! I just want more of them hanging out together. Are they murdering other ministers? Are they recruiting someone? Are they spending the entire fic doing dumb magic tricks and telling jokes around a campfire? Are they perfecting their kung fu technique with each other? Are Lian Sheng and and Zeng Jing trying to matchmake Lei Bin and his wife? YES. They have done any/all of these things and I want any/all of it. More seriously, I'm interested in how all three of them have different reasons for being in the Dark Stone and differing levels of committment to it, and how that affects their relationship at key turning points, e.g. right after Zeng Jing leaves with the remains.
Ye Zhanqing/Zeng Jing: There is no reason this film needed to go so hard on the 'lady assassins too obsessed with other lady assassins they are trying to kill' theme, except for the fact that it must love me specifically. But like ... they're so many of my favourite tihngs I hardly know where to start with what I want. Tell me how Ye Zhanqing survives being buried under the bridge, because I refuse to believe that killed her - does she crawl out herself, does Zeng Jing save her? Anything about how Zhanqing might have grown up hearing stories about Xi Yu and how that obsession developed. AU where Zhanqing takes searching for Xi Yu into her own hands earlier, and takes Ah-Sheng's place in the story. Swordfights lead to sex. Just, anything about how they can't keep their eyes/hands/thoughts off each other.
General: I don't know what good I did to the universe to get this show in return but wow is this blood-soaked grimly funny chase across London and Russia and half of Europe the show of my dreams. I love how bright Villanelle is in everything she does, I love her twisted undeniable logic and her unstoppable yearning. I tend to think of some level of Villanelle/Eve as basically canon, and though I'm leaving it off my request list in favour of my rarer Villanelle pairs, I don't think it's entirely avoidable in fics that aren't pre-canon, and I'm totally here for that sort of conflict between Villanelle's multiple desires pulling her towards conflicting (or perhaps ultimately nonconflicting?) goals. Canon-compliant deathfic for Nadia or Anna is okay, but I am also super into 'character survives and nothing is better' AUs. Explicit Remain-won AUs not necessary as long as I can pretend Remain won and there's no Brexit.
Villanelle/Nadia: MURDEROUS EXES WHO ALSO WANT TO MURDER EACH OTHER, what a good trope. Nadia brings out the sweet side of Villanelle's poison in a weird way - their scenes together were the only times I started to question if Villanelle ever did see a life for herself outside of the assassin gig. Because, lbr: she is far too invested in performing for Eve to give up killing for Eve, and, genuine desire for normal life or not, Nadia opens up a new possibility for desire that Villanelle is delighted by - and fucking hates. Like, she doesn't know what to do with a want that conflicts with her sense of self but she also doesn't know how to say no to desire, yknow? So of course she kills Nadia but of course she makes it sweet, and of course she asks how Nadia wants to go, and of course she indulges that. All of which is to say: fuck me up, dear author. Tell me about their meetings, their missions, their murder attempts, Nadia's final seconds of life. Or go AU, tell me about their captivity together in Arcadia and how Villanelle sold her out to the True Fae for a way through the Hedge and Nadia has found her own way back and is seeking REVENGE. Or make them vampires. I am never gonna say no to my faves being made vampires.
Villanelle/Anna: Messy obsessive mentor/student problems are MY THING and I'm obsessed with all of this - Anna's guilt, Oksana's growing estrangement from what should be as she falls deeper and deeper into what she wants. Pre-canon fic is great - first times, seduction attempts, inappropriate teasing and attempting to play house together, the aftermath of Oksana killing Max (re: my sex-involving-under-16s DNW, you can just not mention her age). Or AU post-s1 where Anna either survives or doesn't attempt suicide at all. Anything using Jordan Reyne's 'The Narcissus' as a prompt. Feel free to OT3 them with Eve, or have Anna/Eve as an also-existing ship.
General: I know it's been five years since it ended but this is still the spy show of my heart and I love all these sad glamorous dubiously-moral assassins. Before Amanda's backstory reveal I spent some time headcanoning her as a Russian agent - feel free to run with that background if it speaks more to you than her canon one! I am fine with background Nikita/Owen, Nikita/Alex, Amanda/Alex, or Nikita/Ryan, but DNW Nikita/Michael.
Nikita/Amanda: POST-CANON FIC. I don't love season 4, but I've made my peace with most of it with the exception of ... we watched Nikita obsess over Amanda for four seasons and then we were meant to ... believe she locked Amanda in a cell and ignored her forever? I don't buy it, and I want to see all of their visits, all of the manipulation-into-goodness that Nikita is so horrifically amazing at, all of the bad-idea sex with the weight of all their history. Alternatively, all of Nikita's early days with Division, the dressing up and the missions and the undercover-as-a-couple and the whole idea of Amanda trying to teach Nikita how to human. They love each other so much! They're so determined to create and re-create each other and they're both so bad at pretending the other isn't succeeding. The whole bit in 2x18 with 'I broke your heart? You broke mine.' is like. One of my top 5 scenes in television ever. I love them. I love how much they hate each other and how bad they are at hating each other and I love how much they want. Feel free to OT3 them (V or triad) with Alex.
Nikita/Cassandra: I love spies and double-triple identities and I love these two! Perhaps Nikita finding Cassandra years in the future, or missing scenes. Epistolary fic as they keep in touch throughout the years. AU where it was Nikita romancing Cassandra in Belarus. Sparring leads to sex.
Carla/Amanda: Anything and everything about the early days of Division! The power struggles, the missions they keep (or try to keep) secret from each other, fighting over specific recruits, fighting over Nikita. Running into each other over the years, letters written over the years, sabotaging each other's missions, angsty please-come-join-me sex that neither will admit is either angsty or about getting the other woman to join them.
Amanda/Kathleen: They'd be glorious in any fic you want to write, I think! So much excellent tension, and, yknow, the whole kidnapping at attempted murder thing :D Amanda visiting Kathleen while she's in captivity, any previous history they might have had.
Amanda/Madeline: How much do I love the whole Senator-and-her-unruly-assassin thing they have going on I love it SO MUCH. I am always and forever down for AUs where Sean dies in that car bomb instead of Madeline. I love early days of Division fic, personal missions/tasks Madeline gives Amanda, and Madeline just. Showing up in Division after Amanda thinks she's dead to give orders directly and the epic power struggle that would kick off (Amanda successfully pretending to 99% of the agents that was absolutely her plan while plotting to kill Madeline :3)
General: I like missionfic/casefic, especially for all the angst it gives post-Fall fic/preemptive angst it gives pre-Fall fics (I am entirely up to date on the canon), but they're not a requirement. For Amélie ships, I have no preference if fic is set when she's Amélie or Widowmaker or both, and I also don't have a preference for never-married-to-Gerard!AUs vs pining/infidelity/open marriage so - whatever works for your fic! If Mercy's relevant to your fic, I am happy to see dark!Mercy as well as Overwatch!Mercy. Leaning into the body horror aspects around Ana's missing eye encouraged (I have a special love for flowers growing in the empty eye socket, because, well, I'm me) but not required. Any AU based off any skins for the requested characters (e.g. witch!Mercy, pirate!Ana, comtesse!Amélie) is welcome even if I haven't specified the general version of that AU in my likes. If you want to address the age gaps here, I really love how comfortable Ana is in her own skin, with her own age (even/especially her missing eye) and how that contrasts with her mixed feelings about what she's done, so anything that highlights that would be lovely.
Ana/Amélie:Not quite colleague-friend-lovers who can't quite kill each other, the best of the best who keep chasing after each other because there shouldn't be two of them but there are and an undeniable part of them loves it, aka the reason I fell into this game and this canon in the first place. I love the angst of their situationally-enforced separation and how they're women who draw lines between killing and leaving to die but can't quite examine the difference because that comes to close to their feelings. The problem of 'I should kill you but I can't hurt you because you have already hurt too much because of me' gives me life. Undercover as married, or married post-Fall because Ana is guilty and her eye is gone and Amelie is alone and Gerard's and nothing's right but maybe they can make it better, and at least someone else is close by. I love post-Fall fics - the angst, the guilt, the Shrike, the chase, the meeting across new post-Recall battlefields - but lighter pre-Fall missionfic, training, quiet moments where they almost forget that war is coming is also great!
Ana/Ashe: Vigilante protector meets bored criminal gang leader and ... I feel like at least one (1) literal explosion occurs in addition to excellent sex. I would love undercover-as-a-couple fic for them, or Ana infiltrating the Deadlock Game for Reasons (those Reasons are probably 'Gabe wouldn't do it and I have nothing else to do with my time'). Anonymous/semi-anonymous sex - everyone knows who Captain Ana Amari is, but Ana has no idea who Ashe is until it's far too late to back out. AU Ashe follows McCree to Overwatch and her relationship with Ana develops from there. Ashe's kill-witness line is 'you should join my crew' - in what scenario (post-Fall?) might she tell Ana that? What does their life together look like if Ana accepts?
Ana/Hana: Ana/Hana: Oh, this pairing could be just about anything - there is a strong possibility for shenanigans given their 'youth is wasted on the young' / 'come on Ana, I bet you did all sorts of crazy stuff when you were my age' exchange. Or you could do the exact opposite and lean into the angst of Ana watching her lover having to fight another war because of Overwatch's old failures. Or just give these two tired soldiers time to relax and enjoy each other. Or something completely else! There's the potential for so much emotional mentor/protege stuff here, and I want all of it.
Ana/Mercy: Rez is already lovingly bonkers video-game logic, so why not make it even more excellently eldritch: rez either requires or is equivalent to marriage, and Ana and Mercy find that out the hard way. Ana has a complicated relationship with death and Mercy has weird messy feelings about being devoted to Ana but also having the power to kill and bring her back, so I am super into edgeplay-to-the-edge-of-death with them - maybe it goes too far, resurrection and guilt and the somewhat-ambiguous sense of betrayal that seems to hang over them. Entirely magical witch!Mercy AUs are also great (I lived in that skin before All-Stars 2019 don't @ me it's perfect). But I also love softer h/c fics, and the just sort of - weary bonding that comes from having seen So Much Shit on the frontlines, realising the depth of their feelings during a mission and just being - hey, this really is an important person in my life, not just an important colleague. Bastet AU where Ana and Jack do go see Mercy, or one where Ana and Mercy started a relationship while Ana was the Shrike (up to you whether Mercy knew Ana's identity, in that case!). Something that explores how Ana went from 'not seeing Angela, nope' in Bastet to 'actually I could live in Angela's kitchen now' in Valkyrie. (And speaking of Valkyrie - the first time Angela's ever thought of Angela as mortal? Ana being statuesque and slightly tempered by a new softness? That's v gay, Angela.)
Ana/Moira: Oh gods, they're so full of complicated angst, and so philosophically opposed to one another, but they fought sorta-together and that matters post-Fall (and imagine the extra angst when Ana's Overwatch colleagues find out who she shared the secret of her survival with!). I'd love to see stories of their time together pre-Fall too, though - trying to find common ground, knowing what's in between them, sleeping together anyway. If you want to go for porn - Ana's sleep darts getting put to creative sex-based use, sex as a way to try to bring the other around to one's side, post-fall but pre-recall 'anonymous' sex but only one knows the other's true identity. Battle adrenaline leading to sex (whether they're on the same/opposite sides). Ana's guilt over their secret relationship juxtaposed with Moira's total lack of care. Someone (preferably Amélie but I'm not picky as long as it's another female character) catches them. Moira comes back to Overwatch (or Ana somehow ends up with Talon) and they pledge their allegiance not to the organisation but to the other woman specifically. The Moira standing next to me in a spawn room once replied to Ana's idle 'if we stick together we will achieve the objective' with 'well THAT's an interesting hypothesis' and I would love to see something built around that exchange. Experiements with Moira's lifedrain/heal - Moira's callout when using life drain is 'tell me how this feels' and Ana has a Complicated(tm) relationship with death, and I want all the fucked-up ways in which they deal with (or, yknow, don't deal) with that.
Ana/Sombra: Sombra's not loyal to Talon for reasons beyond self-preservation, and I'd love to see Ana trying to exploit that somehow. 5+1 times they didn't mean to end up in bed together? Trying to seduce the other away from their respective organisations? Biotic/cybernetic engineering nerdery? One or both is a vampire.
Ana/Symmetra: I don't have super specific prompts for them, tbh. Something with hard-light building, Ana helping Symmetra work through her feelings about Vishkar.
Sombra/D.Va: Women who were forced to grow up far too fast with excellent tech/mechanic skills, yes please! I don't really have specific prompts for them, write what you like! I like this ship as either a 'trying to help each other recover and realising too late that they're doing the opposite' sort of thing or as a genuine Same Trauma bonding.
General: I am not usually one for zombie stories but this show was absolutely irresistible (...Anjali Bhimani in that dress was admittedly irresistible first, but I fell in love with the show too). I love the setting-as-character, the magic, the DREAMS, the way that the characters run up against each others' sharp edges and the beautiful freedom for distrust and not being friends that the limited run allowed. I'm here for the supernatural, both the bits we see and any extra bits you want to add (I have a profound soft spot for werewolf!Arabella). Canon-style undead are fine and do not hit my zombies DNW. I'm happy for AUs where Miriam never had a husband/he was a terrible one who she killed and escaped from like we were all sort of playing with post-ep 3.
Fandom-specific DNW: Fix-it for Clay's death (canon divergence pre-episode 4 is fine, but I DNW him coming back as anything other than a Cynthia-style zombie, or for his death to not happen once the Dealer takes away Fogg's feelings), 'the Undeadwood five are all best friends/found family who uncomplicatedly live together'-style stories.
Arabella/Miriam: I love the ways in which they care for each other and support each other and are just generally incredibly competent at dealing with Weird Shit. Occult things, h/c smut, Miriam supporting Arabella as she becomes Deadwood's physician, dreamsharing (smutty dreamsharing :3), missionfic-type stories.
Arabella & Cynthia: Pre-canon would be great! How did Arabella start to get interested in the occult, what were their last days together like, Cynthia visiting her sister in dreams after her second death, growing up as werewolves together, some AU where one of them was a changeling?
Joanie/Miriam: I know, I know, rarepair in an already rare canon, but listen: I love them. I love Joanie's strength, and Miriam's determination, and would love to see more of them together. Something post-canon, Joanie helping Miriam and Arabella and the Reverend out with the continuing undead problem. Something pre-canon, how they met. Porn, if you like - Joanie enjoying sleeping with someone who's a friend and not paying her, Miriam working through her feelings about no longer having her husband.
General: This weird book about fucked-up missionary siblings in clockwork Fairyland snuck into my life and ruined me and I would love to be further ruined by any fic you write! I really, really loved the Changeling!Cathy faux-reveal and was a bit put out by its last-chapter reversal (all books can do with more weird changelings, lbr), so any Changeling!Cathy fic - or fic where she's human but grappling with the fact that she enjoyed elements of the time when she thought she was a soulless creature - is always adored. Canon-compliant deathfic for Ariel is fine - especially if it leads to Mab further manipulating/fucking with Cathy, and Cathy continuing to spiral about her identity, but I am also thrilled by any AU you come up with where she survives or is brought back. Feel free to combine any of these requests to make an OT3. Basically, just lean into the WEIRD and I will be super happy!
Ariel/Cathy: I would love some of Ariel's POV on the novel's events - she has a sort of resignation to liminality about her that I find fascinating. What if she had been given more time to convince Cathy she was a Changeling too? What if she tried to sell Cathy to Mab for Laon's safety (or, perhaps, Cathy tries it with her). Resurrection attempts? Ill-advised wanderings into the depths of Arcadia? We see glimpses of what Changelings think about Cathy and Laon's theology, but what kind of myths and religions of their own have they developed that Ariel and Cathy might stumble into in this land where everything's just a bit too real? Also intrigued by the possibility of them meeting in the mortal world sometime before Cathy travels to Arcadia - what would that meeting look like, what kind of traps might Ariel try to set (at Mab's encouraging?), would Cathy notice something off about her? Ariel and Cathy dressing each other up the morning before the Hunt. Murder is the highest form of aesthetic appreciation in Arcadia, so after the Hunt it falls upon Cathy to resurrect and marry Ariel, because they are obviously destined to be with each other. Some kind of time loop, either while they're waiting for Laon to come back or during the Hunt.
Ariel/Mab: How was Ariel summoned back from the mundane world? How did Mab 'lay claim' to her changeling - did she get any pushback form other Faerie lords? Did Ariel ever think about defecting to another court, or is that not allowed by Faerie laws? AU where she did defect to another court, and how that influenced her relationships with both Mab and Catherine. Is necromancy possible in Arcadia? Came back wrong fic would be delightful. Ariel - or whatever's left of her - confronting Mab about the Hunt, before or after it happens.
Ariel/Cathy/Mab: Anything combining the above two! Mab's pet Ariel seducing Cathy for her? Ariel and Mab working together to show Cathy what it means to be a Changeling/Fae in general? POLITICKING? Vampires?
Cathy/Kasdaye: I mean - "Have you not wanted to speak to me all your life?" makes me want pre-Arcadia Cathy dreaming of/dreaming with Kasdaye, but I would also love an AU of the masquerade where Kasdaye does succeed in telling Cathy's fortune, and how everything changes unexpectly from there - would Cathy still kill Ariel, knowing Kasdaye had already seen her do so? Kasdaye trying to take over Ariel's position as Cathy's guide in Arcadia after the Hunt, or time that they spend post-canon together in Pivot. What are Kasdaye's fae friends like, what dream cults might she be a part of, what happens if she brings Cathy deeper into her world? Kasdaye's a super neat temptress-and-oracle fusion that gets right at all the things Cathy's upbringing has taught her to fear, but in a way that's canonically more appealing than Mab's presentation of the forbidden, so I'd love something that plays with that.
Cathy/Laon: Ah, yes, deeply co-dependent world-shaping/world-breaking twins with infinite capacity for guilt and also academic study: let it not be said that I do not have a type, or that these two did not wreck me. Honestly I am so happy with what canon gave me, so: post-canon adventures? Or, perhaps, role reversal, with ambiguous Changeling!Laon - he and Cathy are roughly equal in their capacity for love, but he is so much worse at dealing with the strange, that would be something delightful to drop on his head (whether that's Laon was always the Changeling or some combination of Ariel/Cathy/Mab create a Changeling!Laon is totally up to you). Something that leans into their identity issues - they are an absolute disaster at handling the knots of sinner/twin/changeling they tie each other into, and I'm obsessed.
Cathy/Mab: Changeling Cathy! Either one where Mab made her before sending her off into the mortal world, or one where Mab decides to turn her into one at some point during/after the events of the book (look ... we don't know how Changelings are made, it's totally possible). I wasn't entirely sold on the 'Arcadia = literally Hell' conceit of the ending, so maybe something where that was Mab's real lie? Human Cathy becomes one of Mab's courtiers in exchange for Laon's life/freedom. But, look, Cathy killed someone she liked to spite Mab, even if Laon's soul was also playing some part in that decision, I am gonna be super into whatever you write for them! Arcadian adventures and rituals, Cathy-as-servant, Cathy-as-toy, Arcadian politicking ... all excellent. Post-canon time in Pivot or Elphane, Cathy discovering Arcadian myths and legends and sticking her nose in where it doesn't belong. What does Arcadian regional horror look like? Mab fucking around with Cathy's dreams - visiting her, pulling elements of her dreams into reality.
Kasdaye/Penemue: GODS I love these ridiculous fey twins and I just want to spend infinitely more time with them! All the Arcadian worldbuilding, all the creepy fortune-telling. How they came to be with Mab's court, previous masquerades they've attended.
General: Listen I fully expect this to be a fandom of one, but this was #formative to small me's interests in fiction before small me even knew she had tastes in fiction, and I want my first favourite shoulda-been-girlfriends spies to have a good time. If doing something plottier, I like fics that take a more complex look at ACME's morals; if doing something pornier, I have a slight preference for sub!Carmen. I haven't seen any of the shows or played any other games, so please nothing that relies on any other version of Carmen. I'm fond of the Extremely 2001 setting and would prefer you don't update it unless you're doing futurefic.

Carmen/Jules: I was shipping them before I knew what shipping was - Jules' wistful 'Carmen and I took that train once' staring out over the most picturesque mountains possible on a Windows 98 game? I was obsessed. First meetings, missions together, questioning ACME's values, high-tech shenanigans, risky sex in alleyways on missions, 'thank god we survived' sex, Carmen opening up to Jules about her childhood. Epistolary fic/coded messages left for each other. Jules was the one who left ACME AUs. Vampire the Masquerade AU, where all of the thievery comes down to Masquerade and Court politics. Carmen tries to steal [improbable but plausible artefact] and runs into Jules along the way.
