Hello friend, it is time for chocolates and I am so excited to see what you will write for me! If you want inspiration beyond this letter I am also kimaracretak, where I have a small but reflective-of-things-I-like set of bookmarks, and kimaracretak on 8tracks if you want #aesthetic musical inspiration.

I love these shows for the worldbuilding and mytharcs as well as their characters and relationships, and I am easy to please as long as you stay away from my DNWs (both general and canon-specific), so don't feel like you Have to write any of my specific prompts. Don't read anything into relative lengths of sections, I am equally happy to get something for anything in this letter! Some of these prompts are reused from old letters, and if you have written them for me before, rest assured that I loved your fic, I am simply greedy and would like to see every possible take on my favourite scenarios. A lot of my prompts are very horror-slanted, but if your muse is inclined to things less murderous, feel free! That being said, I'm extremely not into plotless/conflictless fluff or 'soft' takes on these characters/relationships, and would prefer you avoid them.

I love everything from short introspection bits to long plotty missionfic to sex scenes as ways to explore character/setting/worldbuilding, and I don't need a lot of romance in my ships: sex for power, manipulation, or just between friends who want to have fun is also great. Please no unrequested ships unless specifically allowed for, but feel free to combine any compatible ones from my requested ones.

I've requested both & and / versions of all these combinations, and I will truly be happy with whichever version you choose to write. Feel free to combine them as well - I'd be delighted by, say, Birgitte/Katrine & Hanne. AUs where Birgitte wins at the end of season 2 are always welcome for any of these prompts.

Note: Referenced/past Birgitte/Phillip and Kasper/Katrine are fine. I'd prefer if you pretended Birgitte/Jeremy never happened, even if we didn't match on one of my / ships for Birgitte.

Fandom-specific DNW: Contemporary European political landscapes in futurefic. I like futurefic, I have some prompts for it, but if you go for something set closer to now than 2013, I'd like a Denmark that was kept more thoughtfully & compassionately to the left because of Birgitte's politics, a UK that didn't leave the EU, that sort of thing (this does not apply to American politics - keep them as is or go alt-history as you wish).

Birgitte & or / Katrine: Did I love what season 3 gave me? Yes. Do I want more? Also yes.

• AUs where Katrine is Birgitte's ex, instead of Kasper's. Either romantic ex or an Anne-Sophie type figure, depending on the direction you want to take it.


• Post-s3, Birgitte back as Staatsminister in a leftist government with Katrine as her spin doctor.

Birgitte & or / Hanne: Also known as: the scene early in s1 where someone was like 'no one wants to hire Hanne anymore' and Birgitte responded by giving her the first question made a much bigger impact on me than anyone intended.

• They choose the same bathroom/hallway to hide out in during some boring event.


• Anything set in the s2-s3 timeskip.

Hanne & or / Katrine: Their relationship is hands-down the best part of s2, and I love that they both truly need each other and are good friends to each other in a way that transcends their (theoretical) mentor-student positions.

• Post-canon, covering the new administration, Katrine readjusting to new journalism after her time with the New Democrats.


• Post-canon, Katrine continues working with Birgitte, Hanne stays in news journalism, and what effect that has on their relationship.


• Working on a story together in the s1-s2 timeskip.


• An exception to my kidfic DNW: the two of them with Gustav post-canon, Katrine offering Hanne the chance to develop some kind of relationship with him the way she didn't get to with her own daughter.


• Uncomplicated friends-with-benefits arrangements.

Jordskott

General: Witchy murderforest of my whole entire heart and all the women and girls it loves! This show has so many beautiful things to say about love and care and loss and obsession and it's eaten me as surely as Silverhojd has eaten Josefine. Tell me stories about witches and women and love and life and forests and I will be so, so happy. In addition to requested ships, I also ship Eva/Jeanette, Eva/Zara, Laila/Zara, Esme/Linus, and Esme/Maja, if you want to include them. I headcanon Linus as nonbinary, but don't feel beholden to that if you involve him in fics. If you're writing post-s2 fic, I strongly prefer resurrected Klara or canon divergence so that she never died, but you can also just not mention her.

Fandom-specific DNW: Eva/Bahar, Bahar being married to a man, romantic/sexual ships involving Ida, Josefine, or Kalem

Esmeralda & Klara: Witches and mentorships and found families, I love forever.

• Something set in the s1-s2 gap would be wonderful, showing how Esme grew from the rightfully distrustful lonely girl she was to someone who uncomplicatedly called Klara her foster mother and left that heartbreaking voicemail.


• Klara teaching Esme - anything from serious things about her powers to more simple 'no, you cannot actually eat that plant without dying'.


• Resurrection fic - Esme taking Klara back from the forest, Esme being given Klara-but-wrong by the trees, weird wonderful necromancy rituals with Ylva's help.


• Fic with them travelling somewhere - maybe a post-s2 AU where Esme takes Klara to Stockholm to show her why she found the city so important, or maybe Klara has friends/contacts somewhere else in Finland/Norway/Scotland/wherever that she takes Esme to meet.


• Anything that gets even further into hulderfolk/banshee mythology would be fantastic.

Eva & Ida: I love this relationship so much, all the more so for how the show never demands Eva be A Mother to Ida and never implies that Ida will take the place of Eva's child. More of them, please!

• Fic of them in Stockholm between seasons 1 and 2. Quiet lunches together, visits to urban parks, Eva telling Ida about Josefine & Ida drawing her pictures.


• Post season 2, Ida and Kalem getting into some kind of trouble and Eva bailing them out.


• Post season 2, anything exploring how the changeling reveal affects their relationship.

Ida & Josefine: They understood each other when no one else did, in a way that no one else did, and I'm obsessed with how the forest functions a conduit between them and what affect the Ida-is-a-changeling reveal might have on that. I don't need Josefine to be in human form for this, and honestly it would be super cool if she wasn't. Lean into all the weird wonderful inhuman love and special care these girls have for each other!

• I'd love to see something that acknowledges that Josefine is continuing to grow - Ida sneaking off to the forest to sit by Josefine's tree and draw her pictures, maybe.


• Dreamsharing! I am super into dreamsharing for them.


• Something about Ida's art & activism and how she shares that. I love how Ida acts as voice for Josefine and the forest both, and how Josefine, in human or tree form, might help bring some of Ida's own visions to life in return.

Klara & Ylva: I love them I love them I love them and I'm emotional about cross-generation witch friendships.

• Pre-canon fic. Meetings throughout the years, magic lessons, helping Klara understand who she is.


• Historical pre-canon fic. Ylva's a couple hundred years old minimum, and while Klara's age is a little more up for debate I'd love to see them watching the town evolve over the centuries.


• First meetings! Did Klara always know who she was, or did Ylva teach her the same way they taught Esme together?


• Resurrection fic always. Ylva bringing Klara back and helping her readjust to life above ground. Whether the forest gives Klara back (slightly wrong?) or Ylva brings her back, I'd love anything dealing with improbable survival and learning to live again.


• The two of them with the Josefine!tree during the s1-s2 timeskip.


• Ylva giving Klara relationship advice. If it's current day, I'd like the ship to be Eva/Klara or Klara/Laila, if pre-canon/historical, any woman.

Eva/Klara: They're less different than they'd like to think, and I really, really wish they'd had more time together in canon.

• I would be super interested in a s2 AU where Eva never went back to Stockholm, and the attempt at/process of recovery they might try to work towards together.


• Season 1 AU where Klara finds Eva before Ylva - how would Eva handle learning about the forest from someone who initially appears much more similar to herself than from someone who slots more easily into the crone-witch archetype (Klara-Eva-Esme as crone-mother-maiden is deeply intriguing, as is Ylva-Eva-Klara as crone-mother-maiden, and I love that there's space to play with both).


• Esme's POV on them. Would she be okay with sharing Klara, or would she not care? We've seen Eva with Ida, who's quite similar to Josefine in age/appearance/temperament, how would she handle Esme?


• As always, resurrection fic is loved.

Eva/Laila: Attempted murder is an extremely easy way to get me to ship things, thank you season 2. I love Laila and would love to see her post-s2 trying to fashion a happier life for herself with Eva - what else is Eva going to do with all the space in the Thornblad house, honestly?

• AUs where someone like Ylva or Klara had found and helped Laila earlier, and she connects earlier and more deeply with Eva.


• Epistolary fic post-s2: Eva in Silverhojd and Laila in hiding, unable to let go of each other.


• Outsider POV on them would be super cool! I am thinking Bahar (for the 'this might as well be happening' element), Ylva (who has a personal interest in both of them) or Josefine (just because you're a tree doesn't mean you can't judge your mother's new girlfriend), but feel free to use your favourite.

Marianne

General: *Shows up a year late with coffee to yell about how great the demon lady is*. This is extremely fun pretty horror told non-linearly and partially-fictionally. I love almost all of it, ending excepted, and if you're in the mood for horror you should check it out on Netflix! Character death DNW waived for this fandom. I'm also happy with unhappy/not-together-by-the-end/one-sided/closer-to-& takes on any of these ships.

Note: For my pregnancy & noncon DNWs, I'm fine with references to canon noncon, but would like a canon divergence so Emma doesn't end up pregnant.

Aurore/Emma: Tiphanie Daviot has gotten herself typecast as 'brittle supernatural magnet trying to move on after tragedy but actually becoming a mostly-reluctant almost-murderer of a woman she loves instead' and it's SUCH a good niche. Love everything about how fraught this dynamic is.

• Everyone repeats that 'everyone' was in love with Emma, and there's no reason that shouldn't include Aurore. Something about them realising (and purposefully ignoring?) their feelings during their teenage years?


• TIME LOOPS. Marianne's good at timefucky things. Emma trapped in a loop at the lighthouse, finding Lucie's body and thinking she's dreaming, except it changes to Aurore's and she realises there's More going on? Or seance timeloops?

Camille/Emma: I love Camille and her switchblade and her reckless devotion to Emma.

• More of Marianne possessing Camille! Especially if it's not a particularly obvious possession - even though Emma's looking out for Marianne - and


• Time loops. I'm not even sure what of, just, time loops.


• Creepy-tinged sex in shared dreams that they try to ignore, but end up being unable to.

Caro/Emma: Oh, Caro. First to believe and (almost) first to die, and while yes she probably was a little on the too-clever side to survive, I do wish we'd gotten more of her.

• Ghost!Caro haunting Emma post-canon.


• Came-back-wrong Caro returning mid-series - after Marianne leaves her mother, maybe? What does that change?


• Caro keeping track of Emma's writing career, maybe making the same connections to real-world events, and trying to reconcile that with the girl she used to love.

Marianne/Emma: The writer and the witch! In NO world was 'demon who needs to be written into the world in order to gain power/her chosen writer' not going to be my exact thing.

• Dead? / So much more than lives, as the kids say, rent-free in my head, and I would die for any exploration of what happens in a world where Emma makes it to the city with Marianne.


• Combine with the Emma/Camille prompts! Marianne possessing Camille early on to get closer to Emma, with all the fucked-up identity questioning that involves. Or, I fully believed for a bit at the end that Marianne was not dead and had taken Camille and/or Camille's voice - what if she had?


• Pre-canon, something about how their relationship evolves the more Emma writes.


• What if Emma really did succeed in killing herself in 1x08? Would Marianne actually have let her die? The show strongly implies the answer is NOPE, and I'd love to see the repercussions of it. Also: this is an excellent opportunity for time loops, where Emma keeps killing herself and Marianne tries to make her stop.


• What if Emma had tried to write a 'good' end/redemption for Marianne? What would have happened?


• In-universe books! Lizzie Larck is basically Emma, and I'd love an excerpt of one of her scenes with Marianne in the books.

Y Gwyll

General: I watched the Welsh version of this on S4C, and fic in/incorporating Welsh is welcomed if you speak it! Involvement of any of the canon m/f ships is fine, though I'd prefer they not be the focus. Character death DNW waived for canon deaths and OFC victims in casefic.

Jenny James/Catrin John: Their relationship is the backbone of the whole show, and I would love to see more of it from their perspectives.

• Epistolary fic during the time between Pontarfynach and Helen's murder.


• AUs where Catrin survives.

Mared/Siân: They were the two who immediately caught me from the moment Sian tried to slink in late to the team's first briefing. I'm obsessed with how, despite the very real tensions between them, they're still quite close - the same Siân who makes it obvious repeatedly that she would rather be in Cardiff also chose repeatedly to stay and work specifically with Mared, and looks out for her during the investigation in s3. Despite everything they work well together and are concerned with protecting each other. Things I would love include:

• Casefic, especially of the semi-low stakes cases that have almost more to do with the interpersonal dynamics of Aberystwyth communities than anything specifically criminal.


• Things dealing with Welsh mythology! Whether you want to go full-on mythology AU, or they're just discussing their favourite stories, mythology of any sort will delight me.


• Late-night quiet conversations of the friendship- or relationship-building sort — bad office coffee at 11pm, complaining about their colleagues' terrible filing habits, &c.


• Anything about the small town/city dynamic, especially if they end up in Cardiff for reasons - Sian showing Mared her favourite places/things, Mared dealing with her feelings of being displaced/overwhelmed.


• Pre-canon fic and first meetings, first case worked together, first times, etc


• Post-canon fic where they deal with the fallout from the s3 finale.

Zone Blanche | Black Spot

General: I have a deep love for half-dead half-forest women and this show has truly left me spoiled for choice amongst them! Sad cops? Tired medical examiners? Girls with disturbing archery skills? Old bartenders possibly as old as time itself? I love them all! Gimme creepy things in the forest and I'm in love. Character death DNW waived for canonical deaths in this fandom.

Laurène & Sabine: Weird and questionably-willing mentorship! I like the idea of Sabine as someone else who is loved by the forest, and maybe has a deeper understanding of it than Laurène, but not really great at communicating it, and how they navigate that.

• Conversations after Laurène's all-nighter. How much of it did Sabine learn from Laurène, and how much from the forest? Did Sabine try to convince her to stay in Villefranche?


• I really like the idea of Sabine as a weird immortal - whether she's a vampire or some other type of creature, or the forest did something to her - and how that might affect her relationship with Laurène.


• Laurène in either a time loop or a self-inflicted death-and-resurrection loop, and Sabine trying to break her out of it.


• Nonconsensual and/or accidental apotheosis for Laurène (The forest loves her! The forest thinks she should be a god! Laurène does not have any input in this decision!) and how Sabine helps with or tries to prevent it.

Camille/Laurène: I ship them a lot, requited or not - all of Camille's yearning for approval through her guilt combined with Laurène's unwillingness to get too close despite her affection combined with the literal murder. Camille dying at Cora's feet whispering I'm sorry about the Major (not 'Laurène' not 'your mother') gave me more feelings about them than I know how to deal with!

• Camille and Laurène meeting in some liminal death-space.


• Laurène dying over and over again to stay close to Camille and coming back worse each time.


• Time loops, especially time loops around the moment(s) of one of their deaths.


• Laurène making the forest give her Camille back so they can (try to) have some of the conversations they didn't have in life.


• Laurène accidentally bringing Camille back, simply by going to the forest and talking with her.


• Anything that picks up on the crow motif, espcially some kind of shapeshifter!Camille who could become a crow — or who becomes one after her death, and haunts Laurène like that.


• Anything where Camille either survives or comes back somehow, and Laurène takes advantage of Camille's guilt to manipulate her into helping during the events of s2.


• Reunion sex that does not make anything better but that makes most things easier to forget.


• 2x04 AU where Camille - or the idea of Camille - visits/haunts Laurène instead of Hermann.

Camille/Marion: They're not that far apart in age, which makes what happened to Marion almost worse. They knew each other! They were probably friends! Maybe even lovers!

• Any sort of AU where Camille was the one who dies. How does Marion cope with being a murderer, accidental though it might be?


• Dream sex, especially dream sex that turns into nightmarey body horrory sex.


• Far-future fic where a Camille who survived finds an old woman in the woods and realises it was Marion the whole time.


• AUs where Marion only mostly dies, and a half-forest half-Marion creature comes looking for answers.


• 2x04 AU where Camille - or the idea of Camille - visits/haunts Marion instead of Hermann.

Cora/Marion: I love the idea that Cora was in love with Marion, and I'd love to see more of the fallout of that, whether Marion reciprocated or not.

• Angsty first-time-that-is-also-the-last-time sex, especially if one or both of them have some idea that it is the last time.


• Dream sex, before or after Marion's death.


• Marion comes back wrong! Part forest, part ghost, something else — Cora trying and failing to love her back to normal, or Marion having to work to earn back her trust while not being sure she deserves it.


• Necromancy! Cora going to Sabine for help, or trying to do research with librarians of dubious morality on her own.


• Roleswap: Marion tells Cora about the thumb drive earlier, Cora goes missing instead of Marion, and Marion tries to help her best friend's (girlfriend's?) mother grieve, while knowing her father is probably somehow responsible and she needs to figure out how to expose him without also going missing.


• For pre-death fic, slice-of-life archery practise/exploring the forest/environmental activism would be lovely.

Laurène/Leïla: Leïla is under-loved! I feel like they would have the sort of relationship that looks totally normal and healthy from the outside (childhood friends/occasional lovers!) but that is ... not that, because, well, they are themselves and Villefranche is Villefranche.

• Established relationship with some casefic. Creepy forest casefic is Always good.


• Pre-canon fic exploring how their relationship changed when they both moved away for school. Did they feel like they could finally get together outside of the small town, or did the lack of the forest drive them apart?


• Friends-with-benefits who always end up sleeping together after a rough case.


• Something exploring the fallout from Leïla's capture in 1x05.

Laurène/Marion: It is a terrible idea and I am extremely into it.

• Cora vanishes instead of Marion, Laurène 'bad coping mechanisms' Weiss starts sleeping with the girl her daughter loved to be closer to her.


• Creepy but gentle dubcon influenced by their mutual connection to the forest.
