I love these canons for the worldbuilding and mytharcs as well as their characters and relationships, and I am easy to please as long as you stay away from my DNWs, so don't feel like you Have to write any of my specific prompts. Don't read anything into relative lengths of sections, I am equally happy to get something for anything in this letter! Some of these prompts are reused from old letters, and if you have written them for me before, rest assured that I loved your fic, I am simply greedy and would like to see every possible take on my favourite scenarios. General: I want to say something intelligent about this show but I'm extremely 'no thought head Birgitte and Hanne and Katrine' about it, so feel free to combine these three in any way you wish - I'd be delighted by, say, Birgitte/Katrine & Hanne. I generally prefer fic set closer to 2013 than present-day in post-canon fic, and DNW the contemporary European political landscapes in futurefic — I'd like a Denmark that was kept more thoughtfully & compassionately to the left because of Birgitte's politics, a UK that didn't leave the EU, that sort of thing (this does not apply to American politics, keep those as is or go alt-history as you wish). I have not seen series 4 but I am broadly spoiled for it, so use it or not as you wish, I trust your judgement.

SVU has a really particular sort of mood, a cold comfort that's not quite bleak and not quite hopeful, and I'm really interested in the ways in which the women of the show negotiate their particular vocabularies of justice and care.

I was not wholly sold on the supernatural aspects of it, so this canon especially I would love to see a Changeling: The Lost or Vampire: The Requiem AU, to see what other supernatural things would look like with these characters and their pasts.

General: Codependent teenage best friends AND not-not sexual obsession with #unavailable older women in positions of authority, I am immensely catered to. Also it's basically Lana Del Rey - She's not Me.mp3 in f/f canon form, so what's not to love? I'd love something that leans into the fever-dream horror of consumption of it all. For Amélie ships, I have no preference if fic is set when she's Amélie or Widowmaker or both, and I also don't have a preference for never-married-to-Gerard!AUs vs pining/infidelity/open marriage so - whatever works for your fic! If Mercy's relevant to your fic, I am happy to see dark!Mercy as well as Overwatch!Mercy. Leaning into the body horror aspects around Ana's missing eye encouraged (I have a special love for flowers growing in the empty eye socket, because, well, I'm me) but not required. Any AU based off any skins for the requested characters (e.g. witch!Mercy, pirate!Ana, comtesse!Amélie) is welcome even if I haven't specified the general version of that AU in my likes. If you want to address the age gaps here, I really love how comfortable Ana is in her own skin, with her own age (even/especially her missing eye) and how that contrasts with her mixed feelings about what she's done, so anything that highlights that would be lovely.

I really, really loved the Changeling!Cathy faux-reveal and was a bit put out by its last-chapter reversal (all books can do with more weird changelings, lbr), so any Changeling!Cathy fic - or fic where she's human but grappling with the fact that she enjoyed elements of the time when she thought she was a soulless creature - is always adored. Canon-compliant deathfic for Ariel is fine - especially if it leads to Mab further manipulating/fucking with Cathy, and Cathy continuing to spiral about her identity, but I am also thrilled by any AU you come up with where she survives or is brought back. General: I'll watch season 2 when it comes out in April, but don't worry about staying canon-compliant with it. Please refer to Lilith as Lilith (rather than Madam Satan) for fic from her POV/from the POV of people who know she's no longer Mary Wardwell. I like worldbuiling and pre-canon stories, especially stories about Lilith slowly siphoning witches away from Satan, stories where Sabrina (or Zelda, or the Weird Sisters) sign their name over to Lilith directly rather than into the Book of the Beast, and stories about centuries of history and the distinctly inhuman perceptions and desires of witches and demons. There's so many levels of glorious fucked-up obsessive mentorship here along with, you know, the gore and the deification-via-cannibalism and I love all of them. Murder + in-fic resurrection/came back wrong is fine for any of these prompts. If it helps, other ships/characters I like are Sabrina/Nick, Prudence/Nick, Lilith/Mary Wardwell, Lilith/Sabrina, any combination of Prudence/Agatha/Dorcas/Nick, Desmelda, and Hilda.

I love that it's a poem about beauty in emptiness, about connection and perception and ways to make the void meaningful. If you are poetry-writing-inclined I would absolutely die of delight to get an epic-or-otherwise poem in Martinson's style in response to this request, but it's super not a requirement so don't worry if you're not. If you want to bring in things from pre-existing adaptations, I am most familiar with Seventh Wonder's 'The Great Escape' (youtube, lyrics) and Andreas Kleerup's Aniara which is on Spotify. This show has a thesis of 'why be a girl when you could be an eldritch horror instead' because it loves me, it really loves me. I love the bonds and the backstabbing and the love-through-horror, I love the changeling girls and the amount of respect it gives stories of self-creation. Any of the prompts in the PaHR section of my Darkest Night letter this year are fair game, including setting-change AUs (if you don't feel like clicking through: I would especially love vampire, Sith Academy, and Changeling: the Lost AUs). I'm not requesting Irma or Marion because I'm less interested in them on their own, but feel free to add them in. I ship ... honestly any combination of Hester, Dianne, Miranda, Marion, Irma, and Greta (in varying degrees of fucked-up-ness -- this fandom is a trick request so I'm not really looking for fluff) but am totally happy with genfic. Deathfic for Hester and Sara is fine (though I encourage came-back-wrong scenarios!), but I DNW deathfic for Dianne and Miranda. Ambiguous/show-consistent 'explanations' for what happened at the Rock don't count as deathfic.

General: Yoooo these books. I love them as a changeling story, I love them as a story of nature-as-entity, I love them as a story of how desolation is never bleak and usually alive. I would prefer you use the characters' professions to describe them (eg "the psychologist" ) in narration, rather than their names. I am fine with canon-consistent 'being eaten by Area X' for either of the requested characters but DNW them to die in any other way. I requested only tricks for this fandom as it by nature is playing with some pretty dark questions about embodiment and environmental catastrophes and death, but there's plenty of potential for light and joy - there is plenty of light and joy for both the requested characters as they give themselves back over to Area X, so don't be afraid to lean into that. I've read all three books and my prompts do get kinda spoilery, but if you've only read Annihilation, I welcome fic based only off that. Presence of all requested characters not required.

Lyrics, including character dialogue tags, can be found here, full album (about an hour and a half long) song-by-song on youtube here. My only ship from the album is The Counselor/The Biologist (based mostly off their duet in 'All That Was'), I would prefer gen otherwise. Feel free to bring in any of the non-requested characters as supporting characters in any fic (if you bring in The President, consider Magali Luyten's Ayreon Universe performance as absolute permission for a Rule 63'd president). Fic doesn't have to be consistent with the rest of the Ayreon universe beyond this album but if you want to tie in other elements, go for it - I'm familiar with everything. My general apocalypse/post-apocalpyse DNW is, obviously, lifted for this fandom.
