Do you know, I still have a half-written Mabon post somewhere in a tab? Yes I'm aware we're much closer to Samhain than Mabon these days, tl;dr (or more precisely tl;dw, too long, Kimara didn't write) - life very good, have a meme stolen from, among other people, likealighthouse, sushiflop, and shadaras.

24/26! Actually a bit surprised I don't have any fic titles starting with 'quiet'? EXTREMELY funny to me that the only reason I have a Z title is because a decade ago I was too lazy to figure out a title for a 400w long humour piece! I have, delightfully, exactly 300 fics on Dreamwidth now, another, hm, call it a hundred fics on AO3 that still need to be crossposted? I had 420 fics on AO3 when I started crossposting, now down to 277, but there's some duplicates as I'm obviously not deleting exchange gifts, a few fics I decided not to crosspost, and some exchange fics that I haven't xposted yet.

Started for gloss's prompt for River horror on my prompt meme, utterly failed to do anything with it remotely on time, still unsure where this is going (besides Augustine and Abigail going 'wow there is something very wrong with you' at each other).

On her third day as a Lyctor, Abigail the First, the Tenth Saint to serve the King Undying, sank beneath the River and swallowed two mouthfuls of something that was not water.

She would have swallowed more, but the strong hand of her elder brother left its place on the hilt of his rapier, fixed itself in her hair, and hauled her up above the surface.

She looked only slightly the worse for wear, her stolen eyes clouded over and a string of black muck dripping from the corner of her mouth, but fortunately she was still in one piece. Less fortunately, Augustine had no idea what new pieces might have been added to the less-than-delightful bundle of irritation that had apparently found itself in charge of his House.

"I will give your training to Mercymorn if you do that again," he said, because he already knew that forbidding her from doing such a thing again would cause her to attempt such a thing again immediately.

Abigail merely smiled, which had the unfortunate effect of revealing that the River had stained her teeth. "You wouldn't," she said, "Becuase that would mean admitting she might be able to teach me where you couldn't."

It does occur to me that with my (admittedly extremely irregular) crossposting of old fic to thelonelylake new stuff (especially non-AO3 new stuff!) is possibly very apt to get lost! Also I like linkposts idk. It feels silly to announce every new fic, but also, I want people to see things? Without crossing the line into too much self-promotion? Ah well, have some links.

Sarken had a million excellent prompts, which meant I got to combine a million excellent things - office sex, Chief Johnson/Commander Raydor, that weird liminal Them space that's 'we used to hatefuck and this isn't that anymore but we don't know how to say what we want it to be??'

And elasticella was a wonderful sport about beta-ing a canon she doesn't know, and picked up on all the complex relationship dynamic stuff I was trying to explain, and she made this loads better \o/

Writing the above made me realise how much I loved and missed this ship, so I was delighted to get a gift for them too! heart, keep racing, by parcequelle (who is, incidentally, a lovely person and also who I stole this icon from), ft more office sex and a really incredible Brenda character voice.

And because the exchange gods were smiling on me and corvusumbranox is also really excellent, I got a Zone Blanche treat! To the Waters and the Wild, creepy Camille/Laurene with gorgeous body horror.
