kimaracretak, where I have a small but reflective-of-things-I-like set of bookmarks, and kimaracretak on 8tracks if you want #aesthetic musical inspiration.
I've by and large chosen canons I love for their worldbuilding and mytharcs as well as their characters and relationships, and I am easy to please as long as you stay away from my DNWs (both general and canon-specific), so don't feel like you Have to write any of my specific prompts. Don't read anything into relative lengths of sections, I am equally happy to get something for anything in this letter! Some of these prompts are reused from old letters, and if you have written them for me before, rest assured that I loved your fic, I am simply greedy and would like to see every possible take on my favourite scenarios.

General: I'll watch season 2 when it comes out in April, but don't worry about staying canon-compliant with it. Please refer to Lilith as Lilith (rather than Madam Satan) for fic from her POV/from the POV of people who know she's no longer Mary Wardwell. I like worldbuiling and pre-canon stories, especially stories about Lilith slowly siphoning witches away from Satan, stories where Sabrina (or Zelda, or the Weird Sisters) sign their name over to Lilith directly rather than into the Book of the Beast, and stories about centuries of history and the distinctly inhuman perceptions and desires of witches and demons. There's so many levels of glorious fucked-up obsessive mentorship here along with, you know, the gore and the deification-via-cannibalism and I love all of them. Murder + in-fic resurrection/came back wrong is fine for any of these prompts. If it helps, other ships/characters I like are Sabrina/Nick, Prudence/Nick, Lilith/Mary Wardwell, Lilith/Sabrina, any combination of Prudence/Agatha/Dorcas/Nick, Desmelda, and Hilda.
Lilith: Lilith-through-the-centuries fic! Fic about her creating demons and founding covens (and thinking about the occasionally very thin line between the two), adventures she has getting obscure corners of Hell under her control/on her side away from the Dark Lord, making friends and enemies. Has she taken other proteges besides Sabrina? What are her interactions like with other Churches outside of New England or the US like?
Lilith/Zelda: Oh man this ship is such a glorious mess of feelings about embodiment and apotheosis and pride and praise and I am dead, and cordially invite you to be dead with me! Zelda's whole … wanting to fuck not even necessarily her gods but like the entire concept of divinity is so MUCH, and Lilith is absolutely amused by it. I love fics that get into how wildly other Lilith is as a demon queen, how her perceptions of desire and bodies would differ. Praise kink, competency kink - Zelda has a hard time admitting even to herself how desperate she is to prove herself, and I totally see Lilith granting or witholding praise just to see what she can make Zelda do, what she can make Zelda admit she wants. I have some preference for fics set after Zelda knows Lilith's true identity, but I also love stories about the reveal (less into 'hm I want to fuck my niece's hot teacher for some reason' stories).
Sabrina/Agatha: The murder made me ship it, I have simple story loves and 'I am going to kill and resurrect youBECAUSE I CAN for the greater good which maybe isn't actually that good' is super high on that list! I would love more of the fallout from that, Agatha being distinctly Something Else even after the necromancy ritual was theoretically cancelled - maybe even something that has her own plans for how the Dark Lord should be overthrown. I'd also love something that digs into the academic side of witchery for them - creating spells, giving old rituals new weight, Agatha teaching Sabrina.
Sabrina/Prudence:
General: Witchy murderforest of my whole entire heart and all the women and girls it loves, ahhhh. This show has so many beautiful things to say about love and care and loss and obsession and it's eaten me as surely as Silverhojd has eaten Josefine. Tell me stories about witches and women and love and life and forests and I will be so, so happy. I would be totally happy with gen, but I ship Eva/Jeanette, Eva/Klara, Eva/Laila, Eva/Zara, Laila/Zara, Esme/Linus, and Esme/Maja, if you want to write something shippy. I headcanon Linus as nonbinary, but don't feel beholden to that if you involve him in fics. You don't have to resurrect Klara/ignore her death if you're writing late/post-s2 fic, but I'd rather it not be dwelt on.
Fandom-specific DNW: Eva/Bahar, Bahar being married to a man, romance for the kids (Ida, Josefine, Kalem).
Ida: Oh, darling girl. I loved her when we thought she was human and I love her now that we know she's a changeling. I love her uncanny ability to make friends, I love her art, I love how much she cares. I'd love between-the-seasons fic, her time in Stockholm with Eva and Tom. I'd love post-s2 fic, how her relationships with the city and the forest and the people around her change after she decides to start speaking again. One of my favourite things about this show is how simply it just accepts the unconventional Eva-Ida-Tom family, without demanding that Eva be A Mother to Ida or anything other than friends with Tom. Ida helps Eva mourn, Eva helps Ida live, Tom tries valiantly to keep up with them. If you want to lean into the nature/fairytale aspects, what effect does the changeling!Ida reveal have on her relationship with Josefine/the Josefine-tree in Silverhojd? Ida getting to spend time with Ylva, Ida and Kalem go on an adventure, Ida helps Esme resurrect Klara.
Ylva: I was stunned by how much love the show had for Ylva the first time around, she's such a rare, joyful embrace of all the most wonderful things about the crone archetype despite the pain she's gone through. I'd love to see something about her life with Muns, or with Klara, or with the network of support she's built in the town and the forest. She's so aware, of thoughts and of life, and getting her perspective on the events of the show more immediately than we did through Eva's visuals would be lovely. We know she's far, far older even than she appears - she's had centuries in that forest, go wild with your worldbuilding and tell me all about them! AU where she managed to save + raise Laila? Can she shapeshift? When did she meet Klara? Are there others like her in other countries that she keeps in touch with?
Eva & Bahar: Y'know Bahar put on trousers for Eva and Eva said 'I hate having to lie to Bahar' and for all s2's turmoil they're really a stunningly lovely and genuinely good-for-each-other partnership. I'd love post-s2 fic where Eva takes Bahar to the forest, as part of making amends for her secret-keeping - maybe she even introduces her to Josefine's tree. Also casefic where they get to actually work together, in Stockholm or Silverhojd. Post-s2 casefic would be great, especially given the offer Bahar got at the end of s2. Eva bonding with Bahar's kids? Bahar somehow seeks out Ylva to try to help Eva?
Klara & Esmeralda: Witches and mentorships and found families, I love forever. Something set in the s1-s2 gap would be wonderful, showing how Esme grew from the rightfully distrustful lonely girl she was to someone who uncomplicatedly called Klara her foster mother and left that heartbreaking voicemail. Klara teaching Esme -- anything from serious things about her powers to more simple 'no, you cannot actually eat that plant without dying'. I would love resurrection fic - Esme taking Klara back from the forest, weird wonderful necromancy rituals with Ylva's help.
General: So, Archives and its associated lore drop is gonna happen during the writing period. I'll be keeping up with everything, but don't worry about keeping your fic compliant with it. I like missionfic/casefic, especially for all the angst it gives post-Fall fic/preemptive angst it gives pre-Fall fics (I am entirely up to date on the canon), but they're not a requirement. For Amélie ships, I have no preference if fic is set when she's Amélie or Widowmaker or both. If Mercy's relevant to your fic, I am happy to see dark!Mercy as well as Overwatch!Mercy. Leaning into the body horror aspects around Ana's missing eye encouraged (I have a special love for flowers growing in the empty eye socket, because, well, I'm me) but not required. If you want to address the age gaps here, I really love how comfortable Ana is in her own skin, with her own age (even/especially her missing eye), so anything that highlights that would be lovely.
Ana/Amelie: Not quite colleague-friend-lovers who can't quite kill each other, the best of the best who keep chasing after each other because there shouldn't be two of them but there are and an undeniable part of them loves it. Women who draw lines between killing and leaving to die but can't quite examine the difference because that comes to close to their feelings. The problem of 'I should kill you but I can't hurt you because you have already hurt too much because of me'. I have a slight preference for post-Fall fics - the angst, the guilt, the Shrike, the chase, the meeting across new post-Recall battlefields - but I will love anything you write for them!
Ana/Ashe: Vigilante protector meets bored criminal gang leader and ... I feel like at least one (1) literal explosion occurs in addition to excellent sex. I would love undercover-as-a-couple fic for them, or Ana infiltrating the Deadlock Game for Reasons (those Reasons are probably 'Gabe wouldn't do it and I have nothing else to do with my time'). Anonymouse/semi-anonymous sex - everyone knows who Captain Ana Amari is, Ana has no idea who Ashe is until it's far too late to back out, or Ashe follows McCree to Overwatch and starts trying to . Maybe an AU where Ana is lost and hurt and ends up taking Ashe up on her 'you should join my crew' offer?
Ana/Brigitte: I'd love something where Brigitte is Ana's squire/protege instead of Reinhardt's, and Ana's possessive side gets to come out. But also, Brigitte has so many conflicted feelings about Overwatch and what the organisation did to her father and Ana's ... pretty much synonymous with Overwatch in a lot of ways, so I'd love to see them trying to work that out. Or something set a little into the future, where they get to build a post-war life together. Messy loyalty, missionfic, vampire AUs, things incorporating Egyptian and/or Swedish mythology - anything, everything.
Ana/Moira: Oh gods, they're so full of complicated angst, and so philosophically opposed to one another, but they fought sorta-together and that matters post-Fall (and imagine the extra angst when Ana's Overwatch colleagues find out who she shared the secret of her survival with!). I'd love to see stories of their time together pre-Fall too, though - trying to find common ground, knowing what's in between them, sleeping together anyway. If you want to go for porn - Ana's sleep darts getting put to creative sex-based use, sex as a way to try to bring the other around to one's side, post-fall but pre-recall 'anonymous' sex but only one knows the other's true identity. Battle adrenaline leading to sex (whether they're on the same/opposite sides). Ana's guilt over their secret relationship juxtaposed with Moira's total lack of care. Someone (preferably Amélie but I'm not picky as long as it's another female character) catches them. Moira comes back to Overwatch (or Ana somehow ends up with Talon) and they pledge their allegiance not to the organisation but to the other woman specifically. The Moira standing next to me in a spawn room once replied to Ana's idle 'if we stick together we will achieve the objective' with 'well THAT's an interesting hypothesis' and I would love to see something built around that exchange. Experiements with Moira's lifedrain/heal - Moira's callout when using life drain is 'tell me how this feels' and Ana has a Complicated(tm) relationship with death, and I want all the fucked-up ways in which they deal with (or, yknow, don't deal) with that.
General: Oh hey this weird book about fucked-up missionary siblings in Fairyland snuck into my life and ruined me and I would love to be further ruined by any fic you write! I really, really loved the Changeling!Cathy faux-reveal and was a bit put out by its last-chapter reversal (all books can do with more weird changelings, lbr), so any Changeling!Cathy fic - or fic where she's human but grappling with the fact that she enjoyed elements of the time when she thought she was a soulless creature - is always adored. Canon-compliant deathfic for Ariel is fine - especially if it leads to Mab further manipulating/fucking with Cathy, and Cathy continuing to spiral about her identity, but I am also thrilled by any AU you come up with where she survives. I loved Cathy/Laon in the book, and am totally happy to see it/the spectre of it as a background ship in any of these fics, Ariel/Mab/Cathy as an OT3 is also totally welcome. Honestly just lean into the WEIRD and I will be happy!
Ariel/The Pale Queen: Changeling stories are my favourite in all universes, and I love Ariel madly. She clearly has some history with the Pale Queen, with her lies and her masques, and I'd love any glimpse of it. How was Ariel summoned back from the mundane world? How did Mab 'lay claim' to her changeling - did she get any pushback form other Faerie lords? Did Ariel ever think about defecting to another court, or is that not allowed by Faerie laws? (AU where she did defect to another court, and how that influenced her relationships with both Mab and Catherine? Is necromancy possible in Arcadia? Came back wrong fic would be delightful.
Ariel/Cathy: I would love some of Ariel's POV on the novel's events - she has a sort of resignation to liminality about her that I find fascinating. What if she had been given more time to convince Cathy she was a Changeling too? What if she tried to sell Cathy to Mab for Laon's safety (or, perhaps, Cathy tries it with her). Resurrection attempts? Ill-advised wanderings into the depths of Arcadia? We see glimpses of what Changelings think about Cathy and Laon's theology, but what kind of myths and religions of their own have they developed that Ariel and Cathy might stumble into in this land where everything's just a bit too real?
Cathy/The Pale Queen: Changeling Cathy! Either one where Mab made her before sending her off into the mortal world, or one where Mab decides to turn her into one at some point during/after the events of the book (look ... we don't know how Changelings are made, it's totally possible). I wasn't entirely sold on the 'Arcadia = literally Hell' conceit of the ending, so maybe something where that was Mab's real lie? Human Cathy becomes one of Mab's courtiers in exchange for Laon's life/freedomBut, look, Cathy killed someone she liked to spite Mab, even if Laon's soul was also playing some part in that decision, I am gonna be super into whatever you write for them! Arcadian adventures and rituals, Cathy-as-servant, Cathy-as-toy, Arcadian politicking ... all excellent.
General: I am happy for any book details to be used for extra worldbuilding, but where the books and games differ go with the games. I follow the Scoia'tael path in Witcher 1 and Iorveth's in Witcher 2 and ask that you take the events of those paths as canon for your fic's worldstate. If relevant, I also ship Geralt/Iorveth and Geralt/Yaevinn, and really love the Iorveth & Saskia platonic ship.
Fandom-specific DNW: Dandelion, sorceress-bashing, the events of non-Scoia'tael paths, Witcher 3 DLC-focussed stories (I'm spoiled but haven't actually played them), reducing Yen & Triss' dynamic to 'I don't like you because you stole my boyfriend'
Ida/Enid: We don't really get Enid propery in the games, so my only real prompt is that I would love to see a gameverse account of their reckoning over elvish homes and Nilfgaardian orders - I would love to see anything else you come up with as well though!
Philippa/Saskia: This was My Everything for like five minutes before the mind control revelation, and, honestly? It's still My Everything, though in an entirely separate way. I'd love to see Philippa's thought process leading up to drugging Saskia, or the two of them dealing with the fallout if/when Saskia realises what happened. How does Philippa make amends to a dragon when she's not sorry for what she's done, what does Saskia think about what's come of Philippa post-Assassins of Kings? Or maybe Geralt never actually discovers that she's spellbound to Philippa - what would a Saskia-Philippa ruling alliance look like, whether Saksia's spellbound or not? I don't have a preference whether you write Saskia's curse as lifted or not, but don't have Geralt kill Saskia during the summit. Basically this hits everything I love about power and loyalty and questionably-compatible morals and I love.
Triss/Yennefer: They're both so fierce and stubborn and so much of their love for each other comes through in games that are ... not the best for women that I've ended up in a place where I was incredibly surprised they weren't canon-level girlfriends (why love triangles when polyships). I'd love something pre-canon at the Lodge for them, or something with them recovering from the Battle of Sodden Hill, or maybe an AU of the second half of the Assassins of Kings where Geralt and Triss manage to set off looking for Yen earlier.
Toruviel: I would love to see her pre- or post-game 1, especially with Yaevinn. Shipwise, I'm happy with pretty much any femslash you can think of!
General: I watched the Welsh version of this on S4C, and fic in/incorporating Welsh is welcomed if you speak it! Involvement of any of the canon m/f ships is fine, though I'd prefer they not be the focus, and I DNW Mared getting back with her ex. Please no Brexit references if you go for casefic/something with a lot of real-world grounding, let me pretend they live in a world where they're not about to get fucked over by this bit of pure evil.
Mared & or / Siân: They were the two who immediately caught me from the moment Sian tried to slink in late to the team's first briefing. I'm obsessed with how, despite the very real tensions between them, they're still quite close - the same Siân who makes it obvious repeatedly that she would rather be in Cardiff also chose repeatedly to stay and work specifically with Mared, and looks out for her during the investigation in s3. Despite everything they work well together and look out for each other. Things I would love include casefic, things dealing with Welsh mythology, the small town/city dynamic, pre-canon fic and first meetings.

General: Witchy murderforest of my whole entire heart and all the women and girls it loves, ahhhh. This show has so many beautiful things to say about love and care and loss and obsession and it's eaten me as surely as Silverhojd has eaten Josefine. Tell me stories about witches and women and love and life and forests and I will be so, so happy. I would be totally happy with gen, but I ship Eva/Jeanette, Eva/Klara, Eva/Laila, Eva/Zara, Laila/Zara, Esme/Linus, and Esme/Maja, if you want to write something shippy. I headcanon Linus as nonbinary, but don't feel beholden to that if you involve him in fics. You don't have to resurrect Klara/ignore her death if you're writing late/post-s2 fic, but I'd rather it not be dwelt on.
Fandom-specific DNW: Eva/Bahar, Bahar being married to a man, romance for the kids (Ida, Josefine, Kalem).
Ida: Oh, darling girl. I loved her when we thought she was human and I love her now that we know she's a changeling. I love her uncanny ability to make friends, I love her art, I love how much she cares. I'd love between-the-seasons fic, her time in Stockholm with Eva and Tom. I'd love post-s2 fic, how her relationships with the city and the forest and the people around her change after she decides to start speaking again. One of my favourite things about this show is how simply it just accepts the unconventional Eva-Ida-Tom family, without demanding that Eva be A Mother to Ida or anything other than friends with Tom. Ida helps Eva mourn, Eva helps Ida live, Tom tries valiantly to keep up with them. If you want to lean into the nature/fairytale aspects, what effect does the changeling!Ida reveal have on her relationship with Josefine/the Josefine-tree in Silverhojd? Ida getting to spend time with Ylva, Ida and Kalem go on an adventure, Ida helps Esme resurrect Klara.
Ylva: I was stunned by how much love the show had for Ylva the first time around, she's such a rare, joyful embrace of all the most wonderful things about the crone archetype despite the pain she's gone through. I'd love to see something about her life with Muns, or with Klara, or with the network of support she's built in the town and the forest. She's so aware, of thoughts and of life, and getting her perspective on the events of the show more immediately than we did through Eva's visuals would be lovely. We know she's far, far older even than she appears - she's had centuries in that forest, go wild with your worldbuilding and tell me all about them! AU where she managed to save + raise Laila? Can she shapeshift? When did she meet Klara? Are there others like her in other countries that she keeps in touch with?
Eva & Bahar: Y'know Bahar put on trousers for Eva and Eva said 'I hate having to lie to Bahar' and for all s2's turmoil they're really a stunningly lovely and genuinely good-for-each-other partnership. I'd love post-s2 fic where Eva takes Bahar to the forest, as part of making amends for her secret-keeping - maybe she even introduces her to Josefine's tree. Also casefic where they get to actually work together, in Stockholm or Silverhojd. Post-s2 casefic would be great, especially given the offer Bahar got at the end of s2. Eva bonding with Bahar's kids? Bahar somehow seeks out Ylva to try to help Eva?
Klara & Esmeralda: Witches and mentorships and found families, I love forever. Something set in the s1-s2 gap would be wonderful, showing how Esme grew from the rightfully distrustful lonely girl she was to someone who uncomplicatedly called Klara her foster mother and left that heartbreaking voicemail. Klara teaching Esme -- anything from serious things about her powers to more simple 'no, you cannot actually eat that plant without dying'. I would love resurrection fic - Esme taking Klara back from the forest, weird wonderful necromancy rituals with Ylva's help.
General: So, Archives and its associated lore drop is gonna happen during the writing period. I'll be keeping up with everything, but don't worry about keeping your fic compliant with it. I like missionfic/casefic, especially for all the angst it gives post-Fall fic/preemptive angst it gives pre-Fall fics (I am entirely up to date on the canon), but they're not a requirement. For Amélie ships, I have no preference if fic is set when she's Amélie or Widowmaker or both. If Mercy's relevant to your fic, I am happy to see dark!Mercy as well as Overwatch!Mercy. Leaning into the body horror aspects around Ana's missing eye encouraged (I have a special love for flowers growing in the empty eye socket, because, well, I'm me) but not required. If you want to address the age gaps here, I really love how comfortable Ana is in her own skin, with her own age (even/especially her missing eye), so anything that highlights that would be lovely.
Ana/Amelie: Not quite colleague-friend-lovers who can't quite kill each other, the best of the best who keep chasing after each other because there shouldn't be two of them but there are and an undeniable part of them loves it. Women who draw lines between killing and leaving to die but can't quite examine the difference because that comes to close to their feelings. The problem of 'I should kill you but I can't hurt you because you have already hurt too much because of me'. I have a slight preference for post-Fall fics - the angst, the guilt, the Shrike, the chase, the meeting across new post-Recall battlefields - but I will love anything you write for them!
Ana/Ashe: Vigilante protector meets bored criminal gang leader and ... I feel like at least one (1) literal explosion occurs in addition to excellent sex. I would love undercover-as-a-couple fic for them, or Ana infiltrating the Deadlock Game for Reasons (those Reasons are probably 'Gabe wouldn't do it and I have nothing else to do with my time'). Anonymouse/semi-anonymous sex - everyone knows who Captain Ana Amari is, Ana has no idea who Ashe is until it's far too late to back out, or Ashe follows McCree to Overwatch and starts trying to . Maybe an AU where Ana is lost and hurt and ends up taking Ashe up on her 'you should join my crew' offer?
Ana/Brigitte: I'd love something where Brigitte is Ana's squire/protege instead of Reinhardt's, and Ana's possessive side gets to come out. But also, Brigitte has so many conflicted feelings about Overwatch and what the organisation did to her father and Ana's ... pretty much synonymous with Overwatch in a lot of ways, so I'd love to see them trying to work that out. Or something set a little into the future, where they get to build a post-war life together. Messy loyalty, missionfic, vampire AUs, things incorporating Egyptian and/or Swedish mythology - anything, everything.
Ana/Moira: Oh gods, they're so full of complicated angst, and so philosophically opposed to one another, but they fought sorta-together and that matters post-Fall (and imagine the extra angst when Ana's Overwatch colleagues find out who she shared the secret of her survival with!). I'd love to see stories of their time together pre-Fall too, though - trying to find common ground, knowing what's in between them, sleeping together anyway. If you want to go for porn - Ana's sleep darts getting put to creative sex-based use, sex as a way to try to bring the other around to one's side, post-fall but pre-recall 'anonymous' sex but only one knows the other's true identity. Battle adrenaline leading to sex (whether they're on the same/opposite sides). Ana's guilt over their secret relationship juxtaposed with Moira's total lack of care. Someone (preferably Amélie but I'm not picky as long as it's another female character) catches them. Moira comes back to Overwatch (or Ana somehow ends up with Talon) and they pledge their allegiance not to the organisation but to the other woman specifically. The Moira standing next to me in a spawn room once replied to Ana's idle 'if we stick together we will achieve the objective' with 'well THAT's an interesting hypothesis' and I would love to see something built around that exchange. Experiements with Moira's lifedrain/heal - Moira's callout when using life drain is 'tell me how this feels' and Ana has a Complicated(tm) relationship with death, and I want all the fucked-up ways in which they deal with (or, yknow, don't deal) with that.
General: Oh hey this weird book about fucked-up missionary siblings in Fairyland snuck into my life and ruined me and I would love to be further ruined by any fic you write! I really, really loved the Changeling!Cathy faux-reveal and was a bit put out by its last-chapter reversal (all books can do with more weird changelings, lbr), so any Changeling!Cathy fic - or fic where she's human but grappling with the fact that she enjoyed elements of the time when she thought she was a soulless creature - is always adored. Canon-compliant deathfic for Ariel is fine - especially if it leads to Mab further manipulating/fucking with Cathy, and Cathy continuing to spiral about her identity, but I am also thrilled by any AU you come up with where she survives. I loved Cathy/Laon in the book, and am totally happy to see it/the spectre of it as a background ship in any of these fics, Ariel/Mab/Cathy as an OT3 is also totally welcome. Honestly just lean into the WEIRD and I will be happy!
Ariel/The Pale Queen: Changeling stories are my favourite in all universes, and I love Ariel madly. She clearly has some history with the Pale Queen, with her lies and her masques, and I'd love any glimpse of it. How was Ariel summoned back from the mundane world? How did Mab 'lay claim' to her changeling - did she get any pushback form other Faerie lords? Did Ariel ever think about defecting to another court, or is that not allowed by Faerie laws? (AU where she did defect to another court, and how that influenced her relationships with both Mab and Catherine? Is necromancy possible in Arcadia? Came back wrong fic would be delightful.
Ariel/Cathy: I would love some of Ariel's POV on the novel's events - she has a sort of resignation to liminality about her that I find fascinating. What if she had been given more time to convince Cathy she was a Changeling too? What if she tried to sell Cathy to Mab for Laon's safety (or, perhaps, Cathy tries it with her). Resurrection attempts? Ill-advised wanderings into the depths of Arcadia? We see glimpses of what Changelings think about Cathy and Laon's theology, but what kind of myths and religions of their own have they developed that Ariel and Cathy might stumble into in this land where everything's just a bit too real?
Cathy/The Pale Queen: Changeling Cathy! Either one where Mab made her before sending her off into the mortal world, or one where Mab decides to turn her into one at some point during/after the events of the book (look ... we don't know how Changelings are made, it's totally possible). I wasn't entirely sold on the 'Arcadia = literally Hell' conceit of the ending, so maybe something where that was Mab's real lie? Human Cathy becomes one of Mab's courtiers in exchange for Laon's life/freedomBut, look, Cathy killed someone she liked to spite Mab, even if Laon's soul was also playing some part in that decision, I am gonna be super into whatever you write for them! Arcadian adventures and rituals, Cathy-as-servant, Cathy-as-toy, Arcadian politicking ... all excellent.
General: I am happy for any book details to be used for extra worldbuilding, but where the books and games differ go with the games. I follow the Scoia'tael path in Witcher 1 and Iorveth's in Witcher 2 and ask that you take the events of those paths as canon for your fic's worldstate. If relevant, I also ship Geralt/Iorveth and Geralt/Yaevinn, and really love the Iorveth & Saskia platonic ship.
Fandom-specific DNW: Dandelion, sorceress-bashing, the events of non-Scoia'tael paths, Witcher 3 DLC-focussed stories (I'm spoiled but haven't actually played them), reducing Yen & Triss' dynamic to 'I don't like you because you stole my boyfriend'
Ida/Enid: We don't really get Enid propery in the games, so my only real prompt is that I would love to see a gameverse account of their reckoning over elvish homes and Nilfgaardian orders - I would love to see anything else you come up with as well though!
Philippa/Saskia: This was My Everything for like five minutes before the mind control revelation, and, honestly? It's still My Everything, though in an entirely separate way. I'd love to see Philippa's thought process leading up to drugging Saskia, or the two of them dealing with the fallout if/when Saskia realises what happened. How does Philippa make amends to a dragon when she's not sorry for what she's done, what does Saskia think about what's come of Philippa post-Assassins of Kings? Or maybe Geralt never actually discovers that she's spellbound to Philippa - what would a Saskia-Philippa ruling alliance look like, whether Saksia's spellbound or not? I don't have a preference whether you write Saskia's curse as lifted or not, but don't have Geralt kill Saskia during the summit. Basically this hits everything I love about power and loyalty and questionably-compatible morals and I love.
Triss/Yennefer: They're both so fierce and stubborn and so much of their love for each other comes through in games that are ... not the best for women that I've ended up in a place where I was incredibly surprised they weren't canon-level girlfriends (why love triangles when polyships). I'd love something pre-canon at the Lodge for them, or something with them recovering from the Battle of Sodden Hill, or maybe an AU of the second half of the Assassins of Kings where Geralt and Triss manage to set off looking for Yen earlier.
Toruviel: I would love to see her pre- or post-game 1, especially with Yaevinn. Shipwise, I'm happy with pretty much any femslash you can think of!
General: I watched the Welsh version of this on S4C, and fic in/incorporating Welsh is welcomed if you speak it! Involvement of any of the canon m/f ships is fine, though I'd prefer they not be the focus, and I DNW Mared getting back with her ex. Please no Brexit references if you go for casefic/something with a lot of real-world grounding, let me pretend they live in a world where they're not about to get fucked over by this bit of pure evil.
Mared & or / Siân: They were the two who immediately caught me from the moment Sian tried to slink in late to the team's first briefing. I'm obsessed with how, despite the very real tensions between them, they're still quite close - the same Siân who makes it obvious repeatedly that she would rather be in Cardiff also chose repeatedly to stay and work specifically with Mared, and looks out for her during the investigation in s3. Despite everything they work well together and look out for each other. Things I would love include casefic, things dealing with Welsh mythology, the small town/city dynamic, pre-canon fic and first meetings.
