Hello friend, it is time for creations in boxes and I am so excited to see what you will write for me! If you want inspiration beyond this letter I am also kimaracretak, where I have a small but reflective-of-things-I-like set of bookmarks, and kimaracretak on 8tracks if you want #aesthetic musical inspiration.

I love these canons for the worldbuilding and mytharcs as well as their characters and relationships, and I am easy to please as long as you stay away from my DNWs (both general and canon-specific), so don't feel like you Have to write any of my specific prompts. Don't read anything into relative lengths of sections, I am equally happy to get something for anything in this letter! Some of these prompts are reused from old letters, and if you have written them for me before, rest assured that I loved your fic, I am simply greedy and would like to see every possible take on my favourite scenarios. A lot of my prompts are very horror-slanted, but if your muse is inclined to things less murderous, feel free! That being said, I'm extremely not into plotless/conflictless fluff or 'soft' takes on these characters/relationships, and would prefer you avoid them.

I love everything from short introspection bits to long plotty missionfic to sex scenes as ways to explore character/setting/worldbuilding, and I don't need a lot of romance in my ships: sex for power, manipulation, or just between friends who want to have fun is also great. Please no unrequested ships unless specifically allowed for, but feel free to combine any compatible ones from my requested ones.

Opt-ins

I am requesting the same three opt-ins for all my fandoms, with one extra opt-in for Borgen. I'm putting the three general ones here, but, as with my fandom prompts, feel free to use or disregard as you see fit.

• Length Opt-In: 666 words exactly: What it says on the tin! This number just amuses me greatly, you don't have to make these smaller fics ones that explicitly deal with devils.


• Medium Opt-In: Fanmixes: I LOVE FANMIXES. Left to my own devices I listen to a lot of metal of virtually all subgenres (blackgaze/symphonic/doom/death/power/pop I could go on), a lot of folk music, and a lot of synthpop, but that being said, I request fanmixes partially because I love finding new music, so, seriously, go whatever genre you like/think is fitting! I have a mild preference for female vocalists (introduce me to all yr fave obscure female-fronted black metal bands pls) but it's really really mild. I like seeing what particular lyrics from a song you think are most fitting for the character/ship, but I don't expect detailed annotations (would never say no to them though!) I have a strained relationship with spotify and use either 8tracks or OpenWhyd for hosting my own mixes these days, but as long as I have enough info of where to find the songs, I don't really care where you host it - you could give me a list of ten songs and your favourite lyrics from each with a random assortment of bandcamp/youtube/soundcloud links and I'll be like yes time to get all these songs and make my playlist on my laptop so i have it forever, because I like permanence.


• Medium Opt-In: Interactive Fiction: I have no preference for AO3-style or Twine-style, and have no CSS-based DNWs for Twine games. I do really love second person IFs, but if you think a different POV works best, go for it!





Borgen

General: I want to say something intelligent about this show but I'm extremely 'no thought head Birgitte and Hanne and Katrine' about it. Where I've requested both & and / versions of all these combinations I will truly be happy with whichever version you choose to write. Feel free to combine them as well - I'd be delighted by, say, Birgitte/Katrine & Hanne.

Note: Referenced/past Birgitte/Phillip and Kasper/Katrine are fine. I'd prefer if you pretended Birgitte/Jeremy never happened, even if we didn't match on one of my / ships for Birgitte.

Fandom-specific DNW: Contemporary European political landscapes in futurefic. I like futurefic, I have some prompts for it, but if you go for something set closer to now than 2013, I'd like a Denmark that was kept more thoughtfully & compassionately to the left because of Birgitte's politics, a UK that didn't leave the EU, that sort of thing (this does not apply to American politics - keep them as is or go alt-history as you wish).

Additional Opt-in: Medium - Official Workplace Documentation. I am a huge EU politics nerd, and I see this as encompassing everything from transcripts of fictional parliamentary debates to fictional draft legislation to Birgitte's daily schedule(s) to draft articles Katrine or Hanne wrote with commentary from the other. For these, don't worry about making them shippy - worldbuilding or focussing on a single character is great.

Birgitte & or / Katrine: Did I love what season 3 gave me? Yes. Do I want more? Also yes.

• AUs where Katrine is Birgitte's ex, instead of Kasper's. Either romantic ex or an Anne-Sophie type figure, depending on the direction you want to take it.


• Post-s3, Birgitte back as Staatsminister in a leftist government with Katrine as her spin doctor.


• Fic set in one of the between-seasons gaps - Katrine covering an event Birgitte is speaking at, a legislation-of-the-week fic like some of the early s1 episodes.


• AUs where Birgitte's ill-advised one night stand is with Katrine instead of her driver.


Birgitte & Hanne: Also known as: the scene early in s1 where someone was like 'no one wants to hire Hanne anymore' and Birgitte responded by giving her the first question made a much bigger impact on me than anyone intended.

• They choose the same bathroom/hallway to hide out in during some boring event.


• Anything set in the s2-s3 timeskip.


Hanne & Katrine: Their relationship is hands-down the best part of s2, and I love that they both truly need each other and are good friends to each other in a way that transcends their (theoretical) mentor-student positions.

• Post-canon, covering the new administration, Katrine readjusting to new journalism after her time with the New Democrats.


• Post-canon, Katrine continues working with Birgitte, Hanne stays in news journalism, and what effect that has on their relationship.


• Working on a story together in the s1-s2 timeskip.


• An exception to my kidfic DNW: the two of them with Gustav post-canon, Katrine offering Hanne the chance to develop some kind of relationship with him the way she didn't get to with her own daughter.


• Uncomplicated friends-with-benefits arrangements.



Lost Girl

General: I love the Fae politics and the potential for pretty body horror (and, just, horror in general) - it's what the show lured me in with and then, well, they turned Evony human and I got sad >.> Less of that and more Fae shenanigans please. Feel free to bring in more elements of traditional Irish Mythology Morrigan if you want.

Fandom-specific DNW: Fae permanently turned into humans/otherwise depowered. Writing fic during Evony's time as a human is okay, as long as she's turned back by the end of the fic.

Lauren/Evony: They were EVERYTHING I LOVE in a ship and then suddenly it was all fake and just something to punish Evony with and like - I love a good awful manipulative relationship, yknow, but something about how this shook out just felt so mean-spirited that I couldn't enjoy it. I would like some creepy joy, please!

• Something that equalises them a bit - something where Evony being turned human feels less like a punishment for her sexuality, and more like Lauren's own brand of Fae politicking. Lauren making her earn her powers back bit by bit is very good, especially if she's very aware Evony's just playing at reform to get what she wants.


• Something that deals with the result of Evony being turned Fae again: what does she do with Lauren?


• Always and forever in love with AUs where Evony never gets turned. Whether that's the two of them leading the Dark Fae together, or just an extension of their previous back-and-forth.




Y Gwyll

General: I watched the Welsh version of this on S4C (though I've tried to supply American Netflix episode numbers too), and fic in/incorporating Welsh is welcomed if you speak it! Mentions of/references to any of the canon m/f ships is fine (including past ships), though I'd prefer they not be the focus and DNW present-day or future Mared/John. Character death DNW waived for OFC victims in casefic and canon deaths, though I do have a slight preference for Catrin-survives AUs in post-canon fic.

Agnes & Catrin: File under: illustrations of this show's thesis that trying is important even when it's not enough that absolutely break my heart.

• Scenes from Catrin's visits to the hotel over the years.


• Agnes visiting Catrin in hospital, helping her recover - maybe even to the point Prosser doesn't manage to push her to suicide.


• It's not the most realistic, but: post-canon cottagecore dreams where Catrin survives and they revive the hotel together. Agnes remembering why she loved the place, Catrin reclaiming the old children's home.


Jenny James/Catrin John: Their relationship is the backbone of the whole show, and I would love to see more of it from their perspectives.

• Fic during the time between Pontarfynach and Helen's murder. I'm fond of epistolary - including unsent letters and journals - as well as the angst of almost-meetings and missed meetings. Thinking so much of each other that they mistake other people in their lives for them until they turn around, planning to meet but not together enough or brave enough to follow through.


• On the happier side, AUs where Catrin survives. They both have so much healing to do, together and separately, and Catrin at least was making a lot of progress before she died. Any steps they're able to take together.


• Feel free to combine this with the Agnes & Catrin prompts above! Agnes as unexpected connection-facilitator is something I would love to see.


Mared & or / Siân: Dropping these together because I truly do not care where on the platonic-sexual-romantic spectrum they fall. Weird in-between spaces encouraged! They were the two who immediately caught me from the moment Sian tried to slink in late to the team's first briefing. I'm obsessed with how, despite the very real tensions between them, they're still quite close - the same Siân who makes it obvious repeatedly that she would rather be in Cardiff also chose repeatedly to stay and work specifically with Mared, and looks out for her during the investigation in s3. Despite everything they work well together and are concerned with protecting each other. Things I would love include:

• Casefic, especially of the semi-low stakes cases that have almost more to do with the interpersonal dynamics of Aberystwyth communities than anything specifically criminal sort.


• Things dealing with Welsh mythology! Whether you want to go full-on mythology AU, or they're just discussing their favourite stories, mythology of any sort will delight me.


• Late-night quiet conversations of the friendship- or relationship-building sort — bad office coffee at 11pm, complaining about their colleagues' terrible filing habits, &c.


• Also excellent conversations to have if they end up going to Cardiff for reasons. Yes they are some of my favourite characters. Yes I am encouraging you to inflict the particular torture of the A470 on them. Ships & friendships alike need roadtrips, and North-South travel in Wales is a whole Thing. Or, if you want them to have longer conversations, stick them on a train. Average Aber-to-Cardiff train is over four hours (not direct).


• Anything about the small town/city dynamic in general. Sian showing Mared her favourite places/things, Mared dealing with her feelings of being displaced/overwhelmed.


• Pre-canon fic and first meetings, first case worked together, first times, etc


• Post-canon fic where they deal with the fallout from the s3 finale.


• I very much like the idea that they were together pre-series, recently broken up as of 1x01, and grow back together over the course of the show. It's far from the only take on their relationship that I like, but it is a super under-explored one, and I'd love to see your take on it!


• I know it's a lot to ask to get them to talk about their feelings, but I think a lot about the end of 3x02 (3x01 on the American Netflix version) where Siân asks Mared if they're still a team, and Mared says yes ... and then leaves her alone. The lingering shot on Hannah Daniel's face is an absolute gut-punch, and I'd really like something that builds on that. Mared proving Siân's belonging in words or actions, Siân struggling with her trust in Mared, her lack of trust in Tom, and Mared's trust in Tom.



Zone Blanche | Black Spot

General: I have a deep love for half-dead half-forest women and this show has truly left me spoiled for choice amongst them! Sad cops? Tired medical examiners? Girls with disturbing archery skills? Old bartenders possibly as old as time itself? I love them all! Gimme creepy things in the forest and I'm in love. Character death DNW waived for canonical deaths in this fandom.

Camille/Laurène: I ship them a lot, requited or not - all of Camille's yearning for approval through her guilt combined with Laurène's unwillingness to get too close despite her affection combined with the literal murder. Camille dying at Cora's feet whispering I'm sorry about the Major (not 'Laurène' not 'your mother') gave me more feelings about them than I know how to deal with!

• Camille and Laurène meeting in some liminal death-space.


• Laurène dying over and over again to stay close to Camille and coming back worse each time.


• Time loops, especially time loops around the moment(s) of one of their deaths.


• Laurène making the forest give her Camille back so they can (try to) have some of the conversations they didn't have in life.


• Laurène accidentally bringing Camille back, simply by going to the forest and talking with her.


• Anything that picks up on the crow motif, espcially some kind of shapeshifter!Camille who could become a crow — or who becomes one after her death, and haunts Laurène like that.


• Anything where Camille either survives or comes back somehow, and Laurène takes advantage of Camille's guilt to manipulate her into helping during the events of s2.


• Reunion sex that does not make anything better but that makes most things easier to forget.


• 2x04 AU where Camille - or the idea of Camille - visits/haunts Laurène instead of Hermann.


Camille/Marion: They're not that far apart in age, which makes what happened to Marion almost worse. They knew each other! They were probably friends! Maybe even lovers!

• Any sort of AU where Camille was the one who dies. How does Marion cope with being a murderer, accidental though it might be?


• Dream sex, especially dream sex that turns into nightmarey body horrory sex.


• Far-future fic where a Camille who survived finds an old woman in the woods and realises it was Marion the whole time.


• AUs where Marion only mostly dies, and a half-forest half-Marion creature comes looking for answers.


• 2x04 AU where Camille - or the idea of Camille - visits/haunts Marion instead of Hermann.


Laurène & Sabine: Weird and questionably-willing mentorship! I like the idea of Sabine as someone else who is loved by the forest, and maybe has a deeper understanding of it than Laurène, but not really great at communicating it, and how they navigate that.

• Conversations after Laurène's all-nighter. How much of it did Sabine learn from Laurène, and how much from the forest? Did Sabine try to convince her to stay in Villefranche?


• I really like the idea of Sabine as a weird immortal - whether she's a vampire or some other type of creature, or the forest did something to her - and how that might affect her relationship with Laurène.


• Laurène in either a time loop or a self-inflicted death-and-resurrection loop, and Sabine trying to break her out of it.


• Nonconsensual and/or accidental apotheosis for Laurène (The forest loves her! The forest thinks she should be a god! Laurène does not have any input in this decision!) and how Sabine helps with or tries to prevent it.


Laurène & or /Leïla: Leïla is under-loved! I feel like they would have the sort of relationship that looks totally normal and healthy from the outside (childhood friends/occasional lovers!) but that is ... not that, because, well, they are themselves and Villefranche is Villefranche.

• Established relationship with some casefic. Creepy forest casefic is Always good.


• Pre-canon fic exploring how their relationship changed when they both moved away for school. Did they feel like they could finally get together outside of the small town, or did the lack of the forest drive them apart?


• Friends-with-benefits who always end up sleeping together after a rough case.


• Something exploring the fallout from Leïla's capture in 1x05.
