swg holiday feast: art 1/5

(With apologies to the Tolkienites on my flist who get to see this twice): The artwork challenge for the [community profile] silwritersguild's dessert course asked: Create a sweet treat for someone else. I've met so many wonderful people through the SWG it was really hard to choose, but this mix is dedicated to [personal profile] elleth, the one who got me into the world of Tolkien-fandom-on-the-internet in the first place. She requested something with Goldberry femslash, because "eldritch river spirits are always good", and like ... true and correct. So here is a Goldberry/Lady of the Blue Brooch sad eldritch ex-girlfriends mix, set in my AU where the Lady becomes a Black Rider!

AND SHE MIGHT KNOW ME WELL

[ 8tracks ]

a white rose you'll think of me
i love you so never let go
i will be your ghost of a rose

now she flies over clouds in twilight skies
nothing to bind her, no one will find her this high

as much as he saves you

tomme, kalde loft der de gamle veggene
ikke lar henne se gjennom sprekkene

v. roses laleh
and this time i'll be brave
among the clouds
but it takes time to say
here you are
cause i can't keep the roses from before

vi.storm song phildel
i'll send a storm to capture your heart and bring you home
oh, carried on the breeze, you'll never find me gone

vii. black rose immortal opeth
over troubled waters memories soar
endlessly, searching night and day
the moonlight caresses a lonely hill
with the calmness of a whisper

lost amongst the fading stars
that's all we've ever been
stood aghast as all the light blinks out
that's all we've ever been
