Hey y'all, the Mighty Nein keep killing everyone I love and I am really, really tired of the new 'if the party doesn't kill and mutilate the corpse of every morally questionable woman who's ever been mean to a dude NPC they're evil and I hate them' flavour of misogyny that campaign 2 fandom has. I have a whoooole lot of thoughts on how Matt's ladyvillains are often coming from a fundamental place of wanting to live and how that gets them called The Ultimate Evil, but that is for another time. It's Samhain so let's talk resurrection!

Vess belongs to the sea but that doesn't stop any resurrection from happening; the resulting divine pissing contest accidentally produces a demigod that binds herself to some floating arm of Ioun like ivy binds itself to my front door. Vess who exists in multiple places and also only as Vess, Vess fractured and chasing after her very angry clone, Vess letting her clone fuck off and do as she pleases because she is the sea and the little clone mortal Vess created will only become her own self or become subsumed into Vess-of-the-Ocean in time.

The sea loves Avantika and what is Vesh but the most ravenous side of the sea, Uk'otoa get fucked.

OH ALSO consider artagan, hands overflowing with power he does not know how to handle because he is a baby archfey, trying to get jester and/or her friends to resurrect either of them just for the giggles and being met with the hideous mystery of the ocean who is melora and vesh and neither and both of them, raging and cyling and unending and fathomless, a chaos deeper and more unknowable than he can understand now, a beacon for the poor boy and an esca if he is not careful,
