chocolates for all
Matched to Nina in
chocolateboxcomm, and obviously never had a hope of keeping secret that I was writing for them, but I think I managed to keep the details hidden well enough.

Sad universe-wrapped-in-spider-skin is Sad after the Darkening of Valinor, but it's not her fault, not really.
And then I wrote Nina another treat, because obviously:

Elaborate clothed-sex bondage under ghost moons as payback for reckless bombing flights, or: Nina has the best taste. Also possibly an apologyfic for letting the forest eat Paige and Amilyn last fic of them I wrote, except I would never apologise for murderforests.
And I snapped up a pinch hit, because the request came with such an excellent letter:
slide down your bones. the haunting of hill house, theodora~eleanor. gen, 791 words. for
adnauseam
Nell and Theo, from Hill House's maybe-not-eyes. This was one of those story-forms-almost-instantly-upon-seeing-prompts fic - musings about Hill House itself being evil? A love of outsider POVs? Human relationships being shaped within and around the house? Exactly my things, and I'm so pleased they were also my recip's exact things!
And also wrote two treats!
illuminate and captivate. critical role, jester & the traveler. gen, 1.2k words. for
blithers.
Jester has questions about death and dreams, and while the Traveler doesn't really have answers, he does have plans. An oddly joyful meditation on murder and being your god's best friend.

Wave always prompts the most wonderfully creepy Dottie/Whitney stories, and, yknow, I can never resist the chance to write my faves being terrible! Ft. zero-matter body horror and messy desire, per always.

Ungoliant waits for Arien's fall.

Eleanor Vance, being newly arrived and clearly in possession of a heart (though a quite unusual one), posed a puzzle to the house: need a heart be a heart, or could it be another person, several other people, in fact? Eleanor's heart is a strange and skittish thing, quite open and yet quite full up with indiscriminate attachments, and for the first time Hill House begins to want a heart of its own.

The tug on her hair is softer, and she can feel the air shift as the Traveler's invisible fingers start a braid. "I help exactly as much as you need me to," he says, and she frowns a little at that, remembering the last time he hadn't helped.
"But couldn't you say that, like, in the middle of things? Like, 'Oh, Jester, you're so great, you've totally got this fight, I'll be over here with, like, pom-poms from all the heads your lollipop is knocking off' or something?"
Jester has questions about death and dreams, and while the Traveler doesn't really have answers, he does have plans. An oddly joyful meditation on murder and being your god's best friend.

Whitney pulls off her gloves, finger by finger. Dottie wonders if she's ever contemplated pulling her fingers from her hands with such care. It's been a while since she's hurt anyone like that; Peg always wants her to behave but the way Whitney moves makes Dottie think they could have some fun together.
