Hello friend, it is time for Valentine's Day fic and my requests are full of spies and assassins and secret agents and ladies who can't decide whether they want to fuck or kill each other. I am so excited to see what you will write for me! If you want inspiration beyond this letter I am also kimaracretak, where I have a small but reflective-of-things-I-like set of bookmarks, and kimaracretak on 8tracks if you want #aesthetic musical inspiration.

I love all these canons for the worldbuilding and mytharcs as well as their characters and relationships, and I am easy to please as long as you stay away from my DNWs (both general and canon-specific), so don't feel like you Have to write any of my specific prompts. Don't read anything into relative lengths of sections, I am equally happy to get something for anything in this letter! Some of these prompts are reused from old letters, and if you have written them for me before, rest assured that I loved your fic, I am simply greedy and would like to see every possible take on my favourite scenarios. A lot of my prompts are very horror-slanted, but if your muse is inclined to things less murderous, feel free! That being said, I'm extremely not into plotless/conflictless fluff or 'soft' takes on these characters/canons, and would prefer you avoid them.

I love everything from short introspection bits to long plotty missionfic to sex scenes as ways to explore character/setting/worldbuilding, and I don't need a lot of romance in my ships: sex for power, manipulation, or just between friends who want to have fun is also great. Please no unrequested ships unless specifically allowed for, but feel free to combine any compatible ones from my requested ones.

General: I only vaguely keep up with the audio dramas, but feel free to incorporate however much of that canon as you want. Post-Mondas fix-its for Missy that don't involve her regenerating are loved, but pre-Mondas fic is equally great. I like Missy using her telepathy and the sweeping glorious over-the-top-ness that characterises a lot of the show. I like moral greyness and (if the fic is Earth-set at any point) fic set in Scotland and Wales rather than England (Brexit-less Earth, please). I am questionably able to keep up with the new season as it airs and usually only about halfway spoiled, so I'd prefer nothing that relies too much on this season's canon.

General: My dragonborn is a female Dunmer named Jessamine, but if you want to involve the dragonborn for plot reasons, don't feel beholden to that. I side with the Imperials in-game mostly to get the civil war quests out of my journal, but as long as Idgrod stays in Morthal I don't care who's winning the war in fic. I don't mind background Astrid/Arnbjorn if we matched on Astrid & Babette, but if you're writing Maven/Astrid I'd prefer you just pretend they're not married. I have no preference on who's Jarl in Riften for Maven fics. I love the potential for the horror of loss here - Skyrim as a country feels like it should feel emptier than it does, and I'd love something that leans into like - there should be more abandoned houses. There should be an entire village between Morthal and Solitude. Tell me ghost stories, and about messy love among the ruins.

General: 2019 was the year this ridiculous gacha game stole my heart with a story and I'm SO happy it did. I've never played any of the other Fire Emblem games, but I've spoiled myself for my requested characters as thoroughly as possible (because: I love them) so don't worry too much about lore stuff! I prefer female player characters if they're ever relevant to the story.

General: Listen. This movie is perfect and I fucking love it. In fact, I have written an entire post about why you should love it too, if 'identity-porn filled wuxia film starring Michelle Yeoh' is not enough to have you hooked immediately. I prefer pre-identity change Zeng Jing to be referred to as Xi Yu rather then Drizzle but I'm totally fine with either Chinese or English names for all other characters. Background Ah-Sheng/Jing or Lei Bin/his canon wife is fine.

General: I don't know what good I did to the universe to get this show in return but wow is this blood-soaked grimly funny chase across London and Russia and half of Europe the show of my dreams. I love how bright Villanelle is in everything she does, I love her twisted undeniable logic and her unstoppable yearning. I tend to think of some level of Villanelle/Eve as basically canon, and though I'm leaving it off my request list in favour of my rarer Villanelle pairs, I don't think it's entirely avoidable in fics that aren't pre-canon, and I'm totally here for that sort of conflict between Villanelle's multiple desires pulling her towards conflicting (or perhaps ultimately nonconflicting?) goals. Canon-compliant deathfic for Nadia or Anna is okay, but I am also super into 'character survives and nothing is better' AUs. Explicit Remain-won AUs not necessary as long as I can pretend Remain won and there's no Brexit.

General: I know it's been five years since it ended but this is still the spy show of my heart and I love all these sad glamorous dubiously-moral assassins. Before Amanda's backstory reveal I spent some time headcanoning her as a Russian agent - feel free to run with that background if it speaks more to you than her canon one! I am fine with background Nikita/Owen, Nikita/Alex, Amanda/Alex, or Nikita/Ryan, but DNW Nikita/Michael.

General: I like missionfic/casefic, especially for all the angst it gives post-Fall fic/preemptive angst it gives pre-Fall fics (I am entirely up to date on the canon), but they're not a requirement. For Amélie ships, I have no preference if fic is set when she's Amélie or Widowmaker or both, and I also don't have a preference for never-married-to-Gerard!AUs vs pining/infidelity/open marriage so - whatever works for your fic! If Mercy's relevant to your fic, I am happy to see dark!Mercy as well as Overwatch!Mercy. Leaning into the body horror aspects around Ana's missing eye encouraged (I have a special love for flowers growing in the empty eye socket, because, well, I'm me) but not required. Any AU based off any skins for the requested characters (e.g. witch!Mercy, pirate!Ana, comtesse!Amélie) is welcome even if I haven't specified the general version of that AU in my likes. If you want to address the age gaps here, I really love how comfortable Ana is in her own skin, with her own age (even/especially her missing eye) and how that contrasts with her mixed feelings about what she's done, so anything that highlights that would be lovely.

General: I am not usually one for zombie stories but this show was absolutely irresistible (...Anjali Bhimani in that dress was admittedly irresistible first, but I fell in love with the show too). I love the setting-as-character, the magic, the DREAMS, the way that the characters run up against each others' sharp edges and the beautiful freedom for distrust and not being friends that the limited run allowed. I'm here for the supernatural, both the bits we see and any extra bits you want to add (I have a profound soft spot for werewolf!Arabella). Canon-style undead are fine and do not hit my zombies DNW. I'm happy for AUs where Miriam never had a husband/he was a terrible one who she killed and escaped from like we were all sort of playing with post-ep 3.

Fandom-specific DNW: Fix-it for Clay's death (canon divergence pre-episode 4 is fine, but I DNW him coming back as anything other than a Cynthia-style zombie, or for his death to not happen once the Dealer takes away Fogg's feelings), 'the Undeadwood five are all best friends/found family who uncomplicatedly live together'-style stories.

General: This weird book about fucked-up missionary siblings in clockwork Fairyland snuck into my life and ruined me and I would love to be further ruined by any fic you write! I really, really loved the Changeling!Cathy faux-reveal and was a bit put out by its last-chapter reversal (all books can do with more weird changelings, lbr), so any Changeling!Cathy fic - or fic where she's human but grappling with the fact that she enjoyed elements of the time when she thought she was a soulless creature - is always adored. Canon-compliant deathfic for Ariel is fine - especially if it leads to Mab further manipulating/fucking with Cathy, and Cathy continuing to spiral about her identity, but I am also thrilled by any AU you come up with where she survives or is brought back. Feel free to combine any of these requests to make an OT3. Basically, just lean into the WEIRD and I will be super happy!

General: Listen I fully expect this to be a fandom of one, but this was #formative to small me's interests in fiction before small me even knew she had tastes in fiction, and I want my first favourite shoulda-been-girlfriends spies to have a good time. If doing something plottier, I like fics that take a more complex look at ACME's morals; if doing something pornier, I have a slight preference for sub!Carmen. I haven't seen any of the shows or played any other games, so please nothing that relies on any other version of Carmen. I'm fond of the Extremely 2001 setting and would prefer you don't update it unless you're doing futurefic.

Starting working on an 'Ahch-To is the Feywild' fic prettttyyyy much as soon as TLJ came out, seven separate vignettes around the theme of Rey and Kylo meeting on Ahch-To while looking for Luke, and how time moves differently there. I have three of those left to write, this one is from the one where the Knights of Ren (the ghosts of padawans Kylo killed at the academy) took him to Ahch-To to recover post-Starkiller, and have come to lead Rey to him as well as Luke.

There is a hole in the universe where the First Order should have been after their victory: instead, they have gone wholly silent, an empty inverse of the New Republic's scramble to put some semblance of life back together. Rey cannot shake the feeling that her ghost has crawled out of that hole, a trade for something no one quite knows how to speak.

No one has quite spoken the fact that Rey will not leave to search for Luke just yet, either, but the First Order's oppressive absence hangs over D'Qar like a shroud, and Rey knows that she must stay until it's lifted. She doesn't mind, not even though it means the ghost remains glued to her side. It's easy enough to stay out of the way, for the most part. There is no shortage of things to be repaired, and while the pilots are not precisely trusting of someone they still call Jedi like a curse, her hands are not bleeding and her belly is full.

The ghost in this case being Macha Ren, borrowed with deepest love from valsansretour and in my defence, Nina killed her first.

Evernote informs me I started this fic in August of 2017, the probably inevitable consequence of my 'the twins are identical and Keyleth loves them both' insistence meeting my 'there really needs to be more somnophilia fics for my ships' belief. So: hopefully-light fun fic where Vex and Vax have an ongoing competition to see who can make a sleeping Keyleth come first (or most), but whoever wakes her up forfeits their right to style Trinket's fur for a week. There's no good reason why I've not finished it yet, there's just always been Other Stuff when I'm in one of my smut-writing moods, but maybe posting it here will convince me to finish it [shrug emoji].

Keyleth's still sleeping when Vex pads her way over to her brother's room and cracks the door open just a bit. For a moment she thinks Vax is asleep as well, until a hand emerges from the pile of red hair and green sheets to wave her inside.

"Started without me?" Vex whispers with a grin as she crosses the room and climbs up onto the bed on Keyleth's other side.

Vax flips her off without any real malice, and pulls down the bedclothes for Vex to kick into an untidy pile at the foot of the bed. "Never." She doesn't need to be told, not when he's smiling at her like that, but it's still nice, and the warmth of it settles over her better than any blanket.

I was not prepared for how much I would love this, especially as someone who's generally lukewarm re: Brian W. Foster's entire existence! But it's SO GOOD, even though I'm nnnnnnot happy about either how little Arabella/Miriam fic there is or much of the fic that does exist is background to stories that are actually Matthew/Clayton! Be the change, give the universe the werewolf!Arabella it deserves, who cares that I am only 50 minutes into episode three.

Arabella's never been much for small rooms, and she knows full well how much trouble she might face in the morning if Mr Whitlock knows when she slipped home. But with a night as full of crazy shit as this one's been, she thinks maybe one thing more can't hurt.

"I think I just might," she says, and Miriam's smile grows. It's the real smile, the one she's only worn for Arabella all day that says nothing about power and everything about things Arabella hasn't seen much of in her life.

It's enough to ease the burn of the silver at her waist as she steps over the hotel's threshold and casts one last glance at the moon, enough that once she's inside she immediately accepts Miriam's proffered arm. Enough that, as Miriam leads her up the stairs, she can put aside the familiar ache in the hinges of her jaw in favour of remembering the sweet burn of Miriam's whisky on her tongue.

Ye Zhanqing learns the way of the Dark Stone, crawls out from the rubble, and finds that there is yet more in front of her, because in no universe am I not all over lady assassins a little too invested in other lady assassins that they are meant to kill. And it was a super fun challenge re: my ability to write action scenes!

Even when I'm not thinking about the Southern Reach books I'm thinking about the Southern Reach books, yknow? This almost felt like cheating bc it was so easy to write. Nature horror is just v soothing, I think, especially when most of the horrific stuff is on the outside of a very tight pov. Let the trees chomp.

Gods the trick to getting me to write lately really has just been giving myself the freedom to write whatever self-indulgent darkfic I want, huh? Keyleth and Vex are my faves always but Exceptionally So when they're playing with fucked-up nature/death magic. This particular iteration of Fenthras-induced angst brought 2 u by spook_me's plant creature prompt and my ladiesbingo 'confessions' square.

Where? Did October go? Like any/all of it. HOW is it the 20th already, I absolutely refuse. However, given that it's October and given that I can't talk about the trickortreatex fics I'm working on, have a little bit of the Keyleth/Vex plantmonster fic I'm writing for spook_me!

Keyleth died at midnight.

For the brief moment Vex wanted to make herself feel better about that, she told herself that the Keyleth she knew died years - no, decades ago, when she left the tattered remnants of Vox Machina for Raishan. The body she had killed, the one sprawled out on the grass and flowers at the far edge of the Vesper Timberland, was merely a formality.

It didn't matter. The Keyleth that died at midnight at Vex's hand was still the same Keyleth who she had loved since the dragons came.

She was home, of a sort, but the cost of it stuck in Vex's throat like one of her own arrows.

I mean, what else was I supposed to do when I had a picture of someone remarkably Keyleth-looking dead on a forest floor, and Vex had a bow that turned corpses into plants?
